I don’t know anything about McKenna.
But I’m fairly certain he has no say over who United sign. He’s a well qualified coach who was highly valued under Jose who took United to 2nd in the league (vastly overachieving).
Plus if United win their game in hand they would be 4th in the premier league, which is probably about fair for the squad that they have? |  |

I'm sure it's not his fault, but when I've watched United in recent years I've been staggered by how easily sides pass through them and by how far short they are of being greater than the sum of their parts. That's not on hon of course, he's only been a big cog in a much bigger machine. If he is the type of bright, well schooled coach he seems to be then I am hopeful he'll lead us into Europe within 3 seasons. |  |
