Haven't seen Herbivore do it before, but over the years a handful of forum members have regularly posted fictitious, defamatory abuse at others on here.
Phil then deletes it, sometimes bans the perpetrator (or they voluntarily leave) - but then they're allowed back in a few months later - only to do the same thing again. And again.
Nobody wants to see diehard ITFC fans banned from their own forum, but by the same token, why should perfectly decent posters who've done nothing wrong be the ones who feel they have to leave because of defamatory abuse?
So I'm gonna come out and say it (takes deep breath) - Phil can be too kind-hearted, a permanent ban really is required sometimes. Whether that actually happens is in posters' own hands after all. |  |

I tend to agree with this. Personally I sometimes agree with Herb and sometimes don't, but one has to wonder what has gone on in his life that he feels the need to take the patronising, sneering and sometimes straightforwardly abusive approach to those that don't see his views entirely as absolute eternal truths. |  | | |

Obviously not as strong as racism or homophobia slurs, but still not nice, and maybe something you'll reflect upon while you're away. Indeed. Bloots would yank a few chains. Always done in good humour and without malice.
He’s never been part of any clique and always looked for balance and consistency in what people were posting. He’d often try to see an issue from both sides rather thank looking at everything as black and white. Some people find that dangerous and went for him.
