It’s not a route I’m that keen on them going down. The Drogba signing at Phoenix worries me a bit, as there’s no room in this league for ageing legs given how quickly the games come. Unless you’re really, really lucky and pick up a Teddy Sheringham type still with 5 years left on the clock at 35.
I remember parking on the Waterfront one day and Ivan Campo and his wife got out of their flashy car parked in front of me. I couldn't quite believe that this iconic, instantly recognisable ex Real Madrid and Spanish international, who played in the 1998 World Cup was just a few feet away. Presumably he had a swishy penthouse apartment down there on Neptune Quay.
