February points prediction 06:56 - Feb 2 with 3147 viewsPioneerBlue

(Understatement) This is an important month! Off the back of Dev-Jan where we have not collected the points we would have hoped. Form is steady to improving. A sequence of 5 games, Saturday-Tuesday fixtures, a cup game, and 3 league away games.

Cambridge United A
Burnley (FAC R4r) A
Sheffield Wednesday H
Bristol Rovers A
Forest Green Rovers H
MK Dons A

Im predicting 11 points, it would be a decent return but it would be helpful to have a good run collecting at over 2.5ppg! 13 points could build real momentum .

Burnley Away aside.

We can win all of those games.

Not saying for a minute Sheff Wed are an easy opponent, but at home, given how well we did vs them for about 80 mins at their place. That is a winnable game.

Bristol Rovers are a solid opponent.

I make it 11 pts too. I think Cambridge will hold us to a draw and Sheff Weds too. Other games all winnable.

Cambridge Utd (A) - 1 pt
Sheffield Weds (H) - 1 pt
Bristol Rovers (A) - 3 pts
Forest Green (H) - 3 pts
MK Dons (A) - 3 pts

Cambridge is a must win game for me, as PA and Wednesday play each other the same day. We have to at least gain ground on one of them.. The rest of the league fixtures are all winnable..Rovers have dipped recently, so I'm not as worried about that away fixture as maybe a few weeks back.. We have to beat Wednesday at home, realistically, imo, not just for our own momentum, but to dent theirs.... 15pts from the 5 L1 games...Cmon..

I can see Sheff Wed being a really frustrating game to watch as they've only conceded 7 goals from 13 games away from home.

Despite being the highest scorers in the league, it does feel like we need to be more clinical in the 2nd half of the season with the amount of chances we create.

11 looks realistic and we certainly can't afford it to be much below that.

Beating Cambridge, FGR and MK Dons whilst not losing to Wednesday or BR is the minimum. We'll lose the cup replay.

Should be aiming to beat BR as well really as looking at some of the away fixtures coming up they're more of a 'point will be a decent result' than this one but they can be awkward.

We have it in us to win every single one of those matches and both Plymouth and Wednesday bounced back from disappointing runs by stringing a few wins together so we could do with following suit.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

I've got a strong feeling that we're going to tweak our game a little, and go into overdrive mode being a little more direct and aggressive.

In their different ways Clarke, Hirst and Broadhead will contribute to that, but the rest of the squad too are going to be supercharged in February I think. Freddy to bag a hatful.

I think we're going to win all the league games, and possibly two cup games too, and I think we're going to scare the sh!t out of the rest of League One for the rest of the season.

Seven wins - COYB!

In the final analysis 11 points including a win against Sheff Wed could be better than 12 points and lose to them.

I'm going 13 points. Rovers could be D or W, Sheff Wed, draw is the obvious but we are due a big win in a top game.

There is a bit of a consensus around 11-13 points in Feb which is both ambitious and a big ask but absolutely possible with the players we have fit. I also think, like has been said in this thread that the squad size should enable us to go at games with a higher tempo, knowing there is quality in reserve. I also agree that Clarke could very much be part of that building tempo, helping us build momentum as we saw against Morecambe.

Tracking to 9 points max if we beat MKD. Not what most asked for.

Bloots would be closest, predicted 9!

Important to keep this form going with back to backs, too many teams around us are in form. Playoffs place are all quite close.

We didn’t quite make the 13 points marker but finish in a good place. 9 points from our 5 league games, plus a spirited away loss in the FA Cup. Made some ground on second place.
