Reading the article, it does look like complete ignorance rather than malice.
Once upon a time somebody may have had a quiet word, and she could have realised it was innapropriate and changed it. The answer to ignorance is Education.
Because of Social Media, the offence is multiplied and magnified with every retweet or post on an unrelated message board.
Jon Ronson's "So You've Been Publicly Shamed" is very good on this. And things have only got more heated and amplified since he wrote it 7 years ago. | | | |
