The pitch 21:34 - Feb 3 with 3186 views | FrimleyBlue | Dreadful state isn't it Know its getting redone in the summer so alls OK. But even with the money spent on lights etc it makes you think what it would be like without that investment.

The pitch on 21:39 - Feb 3 with 3145 views | clive_baker | It’s past it’s sell by date for sure. Sticky plasters can only go so far, can’t help but feel it doesn’t help us either given how we play. Hopefully we can get out of this division and get the new one down ready for a season in the championship

The pitch on 22:01 - Feb 3 with 3030 views | SheffordBlue | There were a few games that had some heavy rain during or just before play and it's not really recovered since then. The FA Youth Cup games have also come during a time when it's had fairly heavy usage. Roll on next season for the new all singing all dancin one!

The pitch on 22:05 - Feb 3 with 2992 views | burnbudgiesburn | It doesn't help our style of play but it's nowhere near as bad as between 1986-1996. Was divot city most of the time then.

It was also pretty useful one Sunday afternoon when Robert Ullathorne decided to pass it back to Brian Gunn.

Was the pitch shorter in the mid 80s? There seems to be more space in front of the North Stand with the East of England stand looking to be much longer than the length of the pitch.

Just an observation, but the pitch looked much better during the time we were sponsored by Greene King than it did during the Fisons era… any idea why Fisons went out of business?

It’s another example of Evans’ one man austerity era. By the standards of the 70s and 80s it isn’t so bad, but that’s 40 years ago and a 21c pitch cannot come quick enough.
The pitch on 08:20 - Feb 4 with 2159 views | EastTownBlue | It hasn't been in good condition at this time of year for a number of years now but still ended up in the highly commended category last year. Although that probably says more about some of the bobbly pitches at this level.

That was brilliant, it scuppered us a couple of weeks later against Millwall though when Scowcrofts goal bound header shane warned off a divot onto the post

Blimey, that was a terrible game. It was going nowhere until Dalian won it with a couple of bits of magic. He would do that type of thing.

With the players we had, the failure to even challenge for promotions in Duncans first 2 seasons was criminal. It's the equivalent of the current squad not making the play offs this season.
The pitch on 12:43 - Feb 4 with 1783 views | norfsufblue | Agree its bad by today's standards but honestly..footballers don't know they are born these days.... Even when we were winning awards on a regular basis in the past we still had bare goalmouths. The new pitch will also be a gamechanger in terms of stadium utilisation.
The pitch on 12:50 - Feb 4 with 1749 views | SchancheITFC | Ben and his team always do their best. We use the same reps, sounds like Evans cut the budget every year with hardly any plan to change old machinery. That will very much change now with new kit, under soil heating, desi premiership quality pitch and ideantical 1st team practice pitch.
