I've just got back from taking 10 kids to nandos and a film (£40 on pick and mix alone, not that I'm counting). 1000-yard stare here: Ive seen things man. [Post edited 20 May 2023 18:51]

Does "No Mow May" count if you leave it cos you are just too lazy to cut the lawn? Asking for a friend.

It does, the bees n butterflies don't know or care I leave a small patch of lawn as a gesture, but have to keep the bulk reasonably short as the mower wouldn't cope with the length if I let it go for a month, & it's too much to strim. There are plenty of other wild spaces at mine which are unmaintained & jungolic simply because I can't keep up with it all!

So what's to do on a sunny summer footyless day? on 19:49 - May 20 with 2112 views | Churchman | It was a morning of light pottering, got my putter re-gripped and sorted out my golf kit after a lovely day yesterday. An afternoon watching 20/20 cricket with Ches the cat, a nice curry for tea and a glass or three of chilled Chardonnay. Could be worse. Looking forward to the play off finals next weekend. It’ll be great watching the joy and the pain knowing we were snugly promoted weeks ago. [Post edited 20 May 2023 19:50]

Ice cream and a paddle in the sea, then loop around the costal path and back home. It’s a tough life sometimes. It was a LOT busier than in that picture today though.
