It's September Jerseys on 11:59 - Sep 26 by Dyland
Too early to scoff innit x
It's almost October luv. Only 3 months till the Jan transfer window. And we're second with 7 wins from 8.
So as I see it, it's brilliant we didn't pay over the odds for some of those he was claiming we should've got (i.e. Simms). We've not missed him (or others) so far, and we have Jan coming up to have another go at strengthening.
Also, it's never too early to scoff at TalkingSh!te!
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

I was in the chat on Saturday and when Blackburn made it it 3-3, it seemed that two or three users suddenly regained their internet connections.
Edit. Then promptly disappeared when Mass scored.

I kind of understand that. People are quicker to complain than they are to be positive. Some do take it to extremes though. You could say it’s the elephant in the room….

Oh, when (if!) we lose a few games, they’ll all be out raging in the time honoured fashion.
Whilst I am fully aware that Anglia Television is based in Norwich it is after all Anglia and not Norwich TV but over the years have become completely accustomed to their obvious bias. When Norwich win it's magic, when Town win it's skated over and when Norwich lose it's quickly passed over, but Town lose and it's their headline. Never mind, they are on the down and we are on the up after years of chirping Budgies.

There are two degrees of freedom in this To-Troll-Or-Not-To-Troll equation, broadly speaking, one at each end of the A140.
When one end has a high performance value, there's still some doubt as to the outcome of the TTONTT calculation, dependent upon what the other end is (independently) doing. The fact that the other end looks like it's trending towards zero, might hopefully keep the trolling at bay rather effectively soon.

As a 'lifer' here, trolling in here seems to work in cycles. There's usually one who turns up, sets a trend then sad sacks copy. Recently, 'Look at me, I'm a Tory', for example, peaked during the pandemic and then dropped off as the copycats moved in and they all felt the need to out-do another by posting increasingly offensive opinions This was then followed by Pazalikes(this one has never truly died out, tbf) which is essentially a lightweight version of the first one but dressed up in some vague concern for everyone to be nice to another, but crucially ONLY when someone has tuned up to post something stupid and/or offensive and to defend the originator of said stupid/offensive opinion(my personal favourite form this style was 'oh, it's alright for you to stand up for striking doctors standing up for their beliefs but not homophobes wanting not to be mocked/shouted at for their beliefs, you horrid hypocrite') Currently the wave of Frimmers copycats posting variants on 'actually, I have some ridiculous concerns about our highly professional and competent owners and manager' is now seeing a sea-change into desperate budgies.
There's probably some kind of sociological point to be made here about how the flavour has changed in accordance with Town's on-pitch fortunes, but I'm fooked if I can see it.
I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Then again they might be all the same person, or at least members of the same family?

The one constant is Harry10(or whatever he's currently calling himself) That's definitely the same bloke, the same hectoring style and the increasing suspicion that he's actually a bottom-rung Russian deep-state employee who's landed this place as part of the 'discredit liberal opposition' troll farm operation).

In fairness I think a few of us felt like that once the transfer window closed. Calling it a debacle is obviously pushing it too far, but that view was hardly a minority one. I’d guess that, whatever they publicly say, KM and the ownership would agree that we didn’t strengthen as much as we’d planned to.
The positive thing now is that we should still have some cash in the bank for January, and if we can remain in the top 6 (ideally top 2), we’ll find it a lot easier to attract players

I’m still around, just been busy lately I’m afraid, you miss me don’t you? I miss you too hun 😘
The transfer business was poor, no question about it, but we are plodding along nicely, amazing what a bit of team spirit and a decent manager can do for you. One of the factor's why we needed to strengthen IMO, was to have better back up when we inevitably pick up injuries, last season the injuries hit critical mass around November? time and that’s when we were relying on Humphrey’s as one of only 2 fit midfielders in the entire club. Injuries into that time of year concerns me still, this league is more attritional than league 1 and we’ve already had a lot of key players picking up regular knocks.

Couple of points.
1. "Plodding along"?!? 2. "The transfer business was poor, no question about it". Well yeah, there is a question about it. We're playing fantastic football and sit joint top, with 7 wins from 8. 3. "we needed to strengthen IMO" is very different from "this transfer window has been a debacle." 4. Yes, strengthening to cover potential injuries is a good idea, but you were bemoaning us not splashing the cash on the likes of Simms. He cost a fortune, has hardly set the world alight, so we've kept our powder dry and will have it for Jan. So that's excellent transfer work just there. 5. The Championship is more attritional than League 1? Really?
No I haven't missed you. It's funny how you're always "busy" when we're doing well though.
Trust the process. Trust Phil.

There aren't many clubs who can operate within FFP at Championship level without parachute payments and not suffer from 3 senior central midfielders being out injured at the same time. Now we have Morsy, Luongo, Taylor, Ball, Evans and Humphreys. Tuanzebe has also played as a holding midfielder before, which I wouldn't rule out as an option.
I would say the biggest question mark is center forward. If Hirst gets injured we're relying on Jackson, Scarlett (entirely unproven at this level) and Ladapo, who is by no means a bad player but likely not one that'll fire us to promotion.
We would all like some upgrades but we have to be a bit realistic about it.

‘Plodding along’. Jeez
‘Transfer business was poor’. Actually, there is a question about it. Weren’t you one of those banging on about breaking the bank to get Simms in? I watched him last night. If anything was plodding along it was him.
What exactly do you want? If it’s a Man City style winning every week and limitless money to buy what you want, then they’re the club for you, along with one or two others. Or maybe Newcastle. The headchoppers there can buy anyone.

You're either determined to just die on your sword - or you aren't a Town fan.
The transfer business was poor? We're plodding along nicely?
Wild wild post.
