Some of the offsides against us were mad. Every time Wolves put their hands up. One ball to Hirst second half saw him move half a yard to receive the ball and he was flagged with three Wolves players several yards behind him.

We should have had a nailed on penalty for the foul on Humphries on about 80 minutes.
It was a clear foul, and in the penalty box, so it should be a penalty... anywhere else on the pitch it would be a free kick, certainly by last night's ref's standards. It doesn't (shouldn't) need to be more of a foul in the penalty box. |  |

That's the second one this season where you feel like the ref didn't give it because our player wasn't getting the ball. But that shouldn't matter. As you say, a foul's a foul. | |

Right in line with the lino on that side who may as well been playing for Wolves. Gave absolutely nothing our way despite multiple instances of Wolves defenders trying to rip the shirts of the likes of Ladapo and Hirst all night.
Williams got clattered just outside the box as well in a similar manner to Humphreys having got the the ball first but again nothing given. Very inconsistent reffing last night all told, started off with a couple of yellows for late-ish tackles then by the end of the game seemed to be guesswork as to what counted as a foul or not. The late challenge on Edmundson, again long after the ball had gone, not being a booking was another mystifying one (on the tv view at least).
The worst bit of shirt-pulling was the one on Hirst at the end after the disallowed goal. He still ran about 10 metres but not a foul..... | |
