Could have been a worse player to get injured, but still annoying.

Get well soon Wes, assume that’s 8-12 weeks -ish?

RIP Sir Bobby

The problem is not so much if Hutchinson can do a good job in Burns' position - he can - but that it removes an element of our 60th/70th minute substitution system if Omari has already been on the pitch for an hour or more. Fortunately, Jackson is also able to play that right-hand wide attacker role quite effectively, so we don't lose all flexibility.

Could also see clarke playing the role if ever needed
( he did say he was playing the burns role before coming to ipswich)

Clarke was playing as a winger?

Burns hasn't been playing as a wing-back for a long time now.

He used to be a midfielder before Arsenal converted him to a full back and a CB. He played for Stoke predominantly at right back.

He's a CB in the making and no winger.

Harness has also played as a RW for quite a lot of his career and has a different profile to both Hutchinson and Jackson. For games where a bit more positional discipline might be needed then he might be another good 'starting' option.

Didn't Scarlett also play that position for Portsmouth? Don't think he was particularly successful there, but that was for Portsmouth.

Quite like to see Williams there if needed. He was very Claphamesque last time

There's no chance Harry will be a CB. His positional sense isn't anywhere near good enough.

Depends how much damage was done when he did it - if it just popped out and in again can be fit in a week or two

Got a few options there though - Jackson as the like for like, Hutchinson as something a bit different and then Harness can play there too

Sounds like he is coming back to Ipswich to be assessed. Should mean it isn't a bad one I would think as he would have been straight to hospital if it was a break or bad dislocation.

We have plenty of options for cover on that side, Clarke, Williams, Omari, Jackson and if we did want to move a Williams or Clarke up into the Burns position Donacien (if fit?) could come back in behind one of them too.

This is assuming Burns has a serious injury, we haven't seen what time he's out for, if any, yet.

Wally is a key indicator of the major TWTD trolling fashions, hence why he's running the 'I'm not a Norwich fan, I just Have Concerns' meta at the moment.

Two years ago, he'd have been trying some kind of cack-handed take on the Keir Starmer deepfake thing.

There is an aspect in which Wallers is right. Not that Burns is unimportant, but at least it's a role where we have good cover while he mends. If it had happened to Morsy, that would be a whole lot trickier.
