My brother in law can get in the bin.
My wife has been bigging up my tomato pasta dish for as long as I can remember, and I won’t lie it’s minimum 1 Michelin star quality, realistically 7 or 8. She’s told everyone who will listen about how good it is, not least her parents who used to live in Italy, so they know a thing or 2 about good pasta. Anyhoo, tonight was the night they and her wider family finally got to sample the delights of pasta a la Clive, a dish that is by now so hyped up it makes Wrexham’s global coverage look like Look East’s attention to ITFC.
So there I am, merrily cooking up a storm in the kitchen tonight when the little one won’t settle without a bit of intervention. I’m gone for a maximum of 10 minutes, in which time I (in hindsight foolishly) trusted my brother in law to watch over it in my absence. All the scrote needed to do was give it an occasional stir. Yet, in his infinite wisdom, he took it upon himself to add more garlic and some tomato ketchup because he ‘thought it could do with it’.
He then proceeds to sit down at the table, leaving me to serve up an absolute joke of a dish that I’m frankly ashamed to put my name to.

I don't mean to belittle your culinary skills Clive, but isn't tomato pasta just basically euro beans on toast? My partner is Spanish and they have a saying ( mainly aimed at lazy sons) that translates roughly to, if you can p1ss you can make tomato pasta |  | | |
