So, what do we want from Friday ? 10:20 - Feb 21 with 3693 viewsflykickingbybgunn

Leeds v Leicester. It seems like a win-win for us no matter what.
Do we want to try to catch up with the top or just concentrate on 2nd.
Personally I would hedge my bets and go for a dour 0-0 with both sides kicking lumps out of each other. Or even better a waterlogged pitch and let the games pile up.

Leicester win. They're probably not catchable now and so, we'll have to settle for Leeds getting pegged back.

0-0, three sending offs for each team and a couple of pulled hamstrings. Points deductions for both following a mass brawl at the end of the game and Leeds forced to play their remaining home games behind closed doors due to crowd trouble. Leicester given a further points deduction when it transpires they've fielded an ineligible player. Town go up as champions.

I hear the 2 into 4 is better than 1 into 3 debate but I want a Leicester win and focus on trying to secure 2nd.

This.

But, as it's highly unlikely, Leicester win.

Yep - a Leicester win and a big one would be ideal.

That's what we said about Sheffield Wednesday when they played Barnsley last year.

If Leeds win I can see Leicester being pulled into a race for the top 2.

They seem to be having a wobble, have lost more games than us for instance and have some hard matches coming up.

Their fans also consider their style of play boring and have been getting on the back of the manager.

If Leeds beat them and we beat Brum we'll be 6 points behind them with 14 to play. Definitely catchable.

Anything other than Leeds winning followed by us winning v Brum as it'll put us back into 2nd

I'm hard pressed to think of any scenario where I want Leeds to win, ever.

Or, more likely, Leicester to win 14-0 which would put us second with a game in hand.

Shades of the Barnsley v Sheff Wed debate last year.

Last year I was hard on Barnsley winning, but Leicester are much stronger compared to the league than Wednesday were. I'd be more inclined to cheer a Leicester win, but ultimately as long as we beat Brum then whatever happens in that game has us in a good position.

A draw for me. Puts automatic promotion in our hands and also possibly drags Leicester back into the mix.

Yip, I'm thinking the same too. TBH though we don't really lose from any result as long as we do our part, so I will watch the game with enjoyment regardless of the final score.

Also agree.

Two spaces between four is better odds than one space between three.

Leicester win.
Let them fly.
Bring Leeds back into the mix.
Winning our game in hand only draws us level, with inferior GD.
If we beat Brum, the rest of the season is then in our hands.

Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

My sentiments also, quite an odd one Fridays game, as any result kind of works for us. I’d say a draw would be ideal, then we could potentially be second 7 points off Leicester with Leicester away to Sunderland and hull after the QPR home game…. If we beat Birmingham that is.

I’ve done the league calculator and have Leeds beating Leicester but we still go up automatically anyway so happy with any result really.

Leicester cricket score please! Not changed my mind that they aren't for catching.

If Leeds did win (and they are rightly favourites sadly), Leicester still have a healthy number of tough fixtures left so we can spin any result into a positive. It would still be 6 points and a stonking great goal difference though 🫤 providing we do our bit and beat Brum.
