According to Africafoot, Ipswich Town, recently promoted to the Premier League, is looking for a powerful center forward in the aerial game and has reportedly set its sights on Steve Mounié.🇧🇯
The English club is working to obtain the signature of the Beninese international for 3 years. ✍🏾
Mounié also has options in Türkiye, with Konyaspor ready to offer him an attractive contract.
In Saudi Arabia, Al Ahli 🇸🇦 also shows an interest in the Beninese striker. 🇧🇯
However, the player wishes to continue his career in France or England. 🇫🇷Brest tries to extend it but cannot meet its salary demands.

Doesn't seem a bad link as a guy to compete with Hirst plus 1 other (Ioannidis?) as don't think we'll want to go into the season with Ali as 3rd choice

Agree.
Can see a big name striker ahead of Hirst and someone like Mounie. A punt, experienced, leader and creates space by taking others out of the game but without being prolific.
Got lower end of the shopping list price tag written all over it - £5m or so given the limited resale value at 29.

Believe he's a free agent so it will just be the signing fee for player/agent to worry about
Not particularly exciting.... on 13:33 - Jul 3 by Bloots
....this one.
He's a "1 in 4" striker that's probably past his best to be honest.
Not for me.
Probably a good fit for third choice though. Grab a hat trick away to Colchester in the third round of the cup. Feel for Al Hamidi a bit mind you.
In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Would agree with that.
Need to remember we're going to have to have some depth this year and squad depth will be key to survival.
He's not prolific, but we don't play that way, front 4 all expected to contribute.
Kevin Denkey not one i'd heard about btw....interesting

Yep free transfer. As Joe says it'll almost certainly be someone viewed to come in and give us premier league experience and depth rather than our big money #9. Ticks the boxes in that respect. Get him, Hirst and a/n other. We saw last season how crucial it is to get the right profile in there who has the movement and selfless running to create the conditions for those around him to thrive. Its also a high effort intensive role in our side, we need depth as at least 2 of our 9's will play some part in almost every game.
