Just said on another thread rightly so to be fair - obviously we're a bit light due to injuries/not having as many signings through the door as we'd have wanted but these other teams don't just exist for us to practice against.
The wording of that suggests we may well have only told them about playing our U21s yesterday which is a pisstake really if that's the case. Ashton would be spitting feathers if another team did the same thing to us. |  |

Not a good look for the club. Agree. I feel sorry for folks who have shelled out to go out to Germany to watch the U21s in action. Not that there's anything wrong in that but people were expecting to see first team in action. |  |

It is indeed the third one they've changed.
It's rank disorganisation for a football club not to be able to organise pre-season games without changing, at the last minute:
i) whether there will be 2 games on a given day, or 1
ii) how long each game will be
iii) whether there will be extra time or not
iv) whether our actual team will turn up, or the U21s
It's really astonishing, and not good enough from a professional club, let alone a Premier League one.
It's not going to affect me (there will be some who have paid for flights and accommodation though), it's just that it's so incompetent and self-inflicted. nobody forced us to play on certain dates, in certain countries, or against certain teams.
It's not enough to justify more than a raised eyebrow, but my eyebrow is certainly raised. If this was Norwich, we'd be p*ssing ourselves.
I am very dubious about the wisdom of replacing a system whereby wise old O'Leary oversees the Chief Exec, to s system where he marks his own homework, and this is not evidence that reassures me on that score. |  | | |

As I've said on another thread - we would be fuming if this happened to us - they are well within thier rights to be aggrieved. I get it may well be (and I suspect, but lets be honest we don't have all the facts) decision for us from a player welfare perspective - but that is our problem, not Borussia.
We've amended all of our pre-season fixtures so far - I expect we may not find teams so keen to play us this time next year. |  | | |

I don't really get it I have to say. Unless we have even more injuries than we know about then surely we could put out two fairly decent teams with a couple of youngsters in each? Hutchinson and Tuanzebe have travelled and will presumably be involved. It's only Broadhead, Al-Hamadi, Clarke, Burns (?) missing?
