| What score would you give the crowd today? D-? 17:28 - Jan 1 with 4802 views | unstableblue | Someone put a fair summary of player grades over the half season up, in a recent post. Well what would you give the Town fans today? I thought it was awful, lifeless barring some valiant attempts from A Block. This was a Town side who are fighting for 2nd place and AUTOMATIC promotion to the Premier League. People stating it was a ‘frustrating and lacklustre’ display. But I’m afraid that up until their goal Town had dominated and played at times some innovative stuff and scored. Yet barely a murmur from the Lower North. And this from a returning Town side who had given us such cheer with a Coventry display of great merit on the road. But let’s park the general lacklustre support, that didn’t back or motivate the team and focus us on some specific really poor examples of town support… Multiple exciting moves in the second half which barely raised a murmur in the lower north… one brilliant move that led to Clarke breaking into the box… Silence?! Philogene the goal scorer subbed off… half the people round me couldn’t be arsed to get to their feet. It’s affecting the players and the energy round the club, which we’ll need over the second half of the season, in a very tight top six. Are we all tired and hungover? Or just not invested? Must do better. D- | |

All good and happy until they scored and then out came the boys - ‘disgusting’, ‘rubbish’ we’re just 2 of the descriptions of our testament. So little patience and makes the online following experience really difficult. Have we really become that entitled so quickly?

What is this need lately to bemoan the supporters. Obviously doesnt effect me as I dont go to them. But every week theres posts about fans.

Because there seem to be so many who get on the players backs after mistake or a setback, who even when we under a sustained spell of pressure. I can only says that for me it spoils the fun of following the team. Maybe I’ve just got old - but in my book supporters are meant to support and encourage, not be there to just critique and complaint if things aren’t done as they think they should!

I get maybe the lack of singing, the demographic isn’t right, as has been discussed. But under the lights to not really raise the noise for great movements into the box, or corners, or decent chances. It’s actually becoming weird. This is a team that’s really only been together for 4 months, I think with good players and characters - people need to get invested.

Tbh after reading some of twitter comments you do wonder what game people wr3 watching at PR "Great to win, baffled how we don’t adapt to playing vs a low block. Look clueless at times. Onto another big week." I mean it was near on perfect really for 80 minutes apart from the final ball and finish at times. I dont see how that equates to not adapting to the low block.

Because as a fanbase and town forum we can’t criticise the players and then not be critical of the home atmosphere. We went second today, with a newly formed team that’s only been together 4 months. And yet the apathy of attacking moves in front of the north stand! Worth criticism.

Move them on and bring younger generation through then because lack of support from that stand is now embarrassing bad.

Ive seen one particular idiot (this fella has serious form), describe today as "sh1t", this wonderful review has 13 likes.... What goes through people's minds when they type this stuff is beyond me.

| What score would you give the crowd today? D-? on 18:12 - Jan 1 with 2418 views | Dubtractor | It was REALLY flat today, wasn't it? I would add that today's game was a bit of a no win scenario for the team - win and it's just what everyone expected, anything less and plenty see it as a disaster. I think that sort of mood is where the crowd was. [Post edited 1 Jan 18:20]

Absolutely, how any sane minded person could describe today as "sh1t" must have amazing standards or some kind of illness. Its such weird behaviour

D-? on 18:40 - Jan 1 with 2187 views | TheBoyBlue | Perhaps today was the perfect storm of a heavy night for many last night and that everyone was expecting us to win so there was either frustration or it was just what people expected. That said I get annoyed with the lack of response to some of our play, some of which has been outstanding this season yet is met with nothing.

People leaving before the last Oxford corner too!!!! I understand some have to get off. But for most it's just convenience. 'i don't want to sit in a bit of traffic and get home later.' Support the team!!! We've just gone second. Clap them off and clap KM off.

I do think the team need to get to A Block and the Lower North quicker - but having said that, both blocks are just steaming out and it’s essentially only people still queuing to get out clapping them! We’d gone second, and in passages played some good stuff.
