It's all so safe and pedestrian, no spark at all.

The final ball has been so poor, and Panama are pressing us pretty effectively and forcing us into recovery tackles. Where has the 2nd half performance against Croatia gone?

I thought TT's reaction after just a few minutes was very telling, like, "WTF are you guys doing?"

Exactly what most England fans have been thinking for years.

Poll: So what do we think will happen with MM and the Aston Villa job?

Defence is awful. So called right back...well where do you start.
And as for Saka...no end product at all.

Why on earth is he trying to pull that back to Kane (past three defenders) rather than shooting?

Perhaps we should set up in a low block and hit Panama on the break?šŸ˜‚

And Tuchel is an upgrade on Southgate?

Feel that's harsh. This is a park the bus job by Panama and we all know very well coached teams are hard to break down.

You learn little about teams I. These circumstances to be honest.

You get a goal and it can be a completely different game and go to 3-4-5 quickly. You don't and it can be frustrating.

They will get tired hopefully. We don't need to risk it all in the first half.

TBF Tuchel looks as frustrated as us with the players!

Panama are trying to get the ball forward more than Ghana did when comparing first halves.

Not sure what the commentators are seeing that I'm not. This is no improvement over the Ghana game in the slightest! Loads of the ball, no real quality in front, and constantly giving the opposition chances. We look weak at both ends.

Yep. Panama not defending anything like as deep as Ghana were, and committing players forward when they break.

I agree they are talking nonsense. ā€œEngland have had some chances but haven’t taken themā€! When? Can’t say I’ve noticed

This is why you don’t leave Cole Palmer at home

I agree. We don’t look like anything special. I’m clinging on to the hope of building momentum and performances throughout the tournament. We’ve all seen teams blitz the group stage then crash out. Also, seen teams seem to struggle at this point then bring the performances later. Fingers crossed that is us.

Not sure Cole Palmer in his current form would have made much difference tbh, he was clearly unfit at the end of this season and playing pretty poorly.

Adam Wharton was the most ridiculous exclusion closely followed by Trent.

Playing sort of like how I want Ipswich to play next season. Physically they look up to it, strong in their duels and then some good quality when they break.

Bring me some Central Americans this summer.

Let's be honest here, this is dire.

2nd as it stands, so Portugal next and get through that it is Spain.

Engerland home not far behind Scotland.

Agree re Trent, even more so after we lost a RB and Chalobah was added to the squad. Nothing wrong with Chalobah, but a specialist RB was required and thats not Chalobah

I don't think it's safe and pedestrian, just really poor execution in attacking areas. Bit like us at times last season, tactically it's fine, the ball's getting into good areas but final ball is poor, shooting isn't threatening.

Feel sorry for Tuchel, not much he can do other than tells these guys to, you know, make better passes and hit better shots.
