It would be really interesting to know how our set up compares to other clubs.

Yesturday, a lot of people were saying how we don't need a good sort out as Mick worked wonders. However I remember Mick at times saying some things weren't right. Keane said them, Hurst said them and now Lambert

We'll never know, but things like scouting networks, or cat 1/cat 2 decisions, sports science, double gym sessions. Blanc turning us down etc. There has to be something missing for all our previous managers to comment on the set up of the club as an issue.

I think it comes from having had no senior leadership under ME. I mean, Clegg and the Milne?

Most good clubs will be that way as they have a good MD / CEO as well as a good manager.

How can a manager manage when he is trying to run the whole show.

Everything is done on the cheap at the club -so unless Evans is going to start investing in things off the field (which he simply hasn't done) then not much will really change.

All money in the club basically goes into the first team budget

Am i right in understanding that day-to-day costs and admin costs are not tallied under FFP? If so it would be interesting to see how he justifies that bit of cost cutting.

Completely in my head this
but I've got this horrible feeling that he was suffering from some mental health issues and Doig at the time wasn't very understanding about them.

That's quite something to suggest when it's completely in your head. Doig might have been a rubbish assistant but we don't know if he contributed to someone's mental ill health that we don't even know is there.

FFS. Or his long-time goalkeeping coach retired and then he was lumped with two new ones during the course of the season.

I'd have thought that's the sort of thing that you'd just out and say though? And didn't he say it was non-football related, or am I just making that last bit up?

Dunno really, just don't want to speculate on someone's mental health when there are more obvious answers as to why his form might be a bit shaky. Again it's speculation but being pulled every which way by a number of people isn't going to help.

It’s an easy cop out for all them previous managers to say something isn’t right at the club when they haven’t managed a promotion between them.

A lot of the time the thing at the club that wasn’t right was them

Recruitment has been and will long be our biggest downfall, when you compare us to our comparable through infrastructure off the field I think of a team like Brentford, I think a club who if I'm not mistaken also make an annual loss as a rule of £6-7m, their maximum gate is just over the 12,000 mark yet their recruitment over the past 4-5 years from the lower divisions and further a field has been superb, when you think of a player like Maupay, a £2m player who is probably now re-sellable at a 1000% profit.

And that is just one example of their v good recruitment, and the player they are scouting is of a really high technical level hence such the attractive free flowing football they produce.

Yet we get a player like Quaner reportedly on 45k a week who to be honest has v limited footballing ability at this level.

Recruitment has to change under Lambert.

Poll: Would love to know the opinions on here now of Lambert genuinely?

Quaner probably gets a £29k cash backhander to avoid FFP or something.

The average PL wage was £50k two years ago. That's taking into account a fair few who are on £200k+ p/w. To think Quaner earns that is frankly fcking mad.

To be fair players not much better than him are probably earning around the 50K mark. Crazy stuff
