David Icke's page of untruths removed from Facebook:

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/coronavirus-david-icke-facebook-

I know some on here might not agree but it's high time that blatant misinformation was taken seriously and dealt with by the social media giants.

It's not just that he's a dangerous liar, he's a vile antisemite as well. He's by no means, a harmless loon.

Dark times, if you keep cheering on censorship don't be surprised if you eventually find yourself in a World that looks more like North Korea than anything resembling a western democracy.

If that was the case Jeera, then the establishment and current system of Government would have been removed by the people long ago. No, I have come to the conclusion people like being lied to and ruled by morally bankrupt psychopath's.

No one’s made it illegal for him to spout his nonsense.

No one should be obliged to provide a platform for it either.

What rubbish. Censorship? Nobody has censored what he can say.

Spouting dangerous things which are provably wrong and in some cases antisemitic shouldn't be given a wide-ranging platform. It can do actual damage to peoples lives. Look at Sandy Hook for instant, families and lives were hugely damaged by the nonsense spouted and that he pushed. Repellent.

He's a dangerous loon and this should have happened sooner.

Nobody has censored what he can say? yes they have, facebook and YouTube. Do you think the writen press that does 'actual damage to peoples lives' should be de-platformed and censored as well then? No, didn't think so.

No they haven't. They haven't stopped him saying it, they have just said he can't say it on their platform. It's no different to a pub landlord throwing out someone ranting racist nonsense in a pub.

How can you "de-platform" someone who owns the platform? Given this your comparison with the written media is false. Nobody has de-platformed him from his own website which is his platform.

Not all opinions are equal as I've stated to you numerous times on numerous issues and given this not all opinions should be given equal platforms.

Indeed.

Icke can still self-publish but he can't piggyback (and monetize his hate) off platforms that don't want him.

Which is fair enough.

At 5pm today, Brian Rose will interview David Icke. It will be live streamed and should be very interesting. The main reason for the live streaming is so that it can't be censored. Their previous chat was taken down from everywhere after it was an Internet sensation with over 2 million views.

Can you explain why listening to someone who peddles hatred and dangerous views on many subjects is "very interesting"?

I take your point but I still believe that if large platforms such as Facebook are going to start deciding which opinions are valid and which aren't then a dangerous precedent is being set.

On a similar note, greater Manchester Police recently put out a tweet regarding 'online radicalisation' and asking the public to report people they might be worried about who are 'repeating conspiracy theories'

I find this a bizarre thing for the Police to be getting involving in, especially when they often don't have the time or resources to look into crimes such as domestic burglaries. Is this really the type of thing they should be prioritising? How do you see this?

I should note that the post was eventually deleted due to criticism.

Do you think they should carry child pornography, drugs and gun sales, snuff films etc too? Should they be made to carry it even?

This is a Guy that also promotes the idea that 'love is the answer' and that we are all 'one consciousness' , views that are rarely discussed by his critics. This might be a bit New Age for some but it hardly falls under the category of 'dangerous' or 'hatred'.

Not really sure what you getting at to be honest but none of the things you mention are opinions, most are illegal, so no.

You can't balance out horrible opinions by also having some that some people might think are nice.

It is hard to dispute that some of his opinions are hateful and dangerous and can cause harm in the real world.

Hardly an unbiased source there. I especially love the use of capitalised words within paragraphs they want you to accept and act upon.

“Online platforms can be a fun world. Unfortunately, they can also be used to exploit vulnerable people. If you are worried that one of your friends or family is showing signs of radicalisation seek advice or call police on 101,”

Hard to see anything wrong with that post in my opinion. I would also say that due to Icke pushing scientific untruths about 5G and C19 there have been a number of recent incidents of criminal damage and harassment of people doing their jobs. Why shouldn't the police highlight that conspiracy theories and radicalisation can lead directly to people committing crimes?

I don't think they should have deleted the post. Not very free-speech of the website and others to hound them into deleting it.
