This is good news on 11:05 - May 5 by m14_blue | I don’t think it has any link at all, no. That’s based on all the experts in their relevant fields telling me as much and my own (limited) knowledge. I don’t know enough about the wider risks or otherwise of 5G so won’t comment but tbh the second people link it to Covid19 their arguments lose all credibility in my eyes. |
Fair enough, you are perfectly entitled to hold that view as am I to keep an open mind at this stage.
This is good news on 11:20 - May 5 with 974 views | Swansea_Blue | It's physically impossible for a radio wave to transmit a biological virus. If people want to fret over technology they'd be better off focussing on the Govt's intention to implement a tracking app without disclosing the source codes behind it and how the collected data are to be handled and used.

I don't think anybody has said that a radio wave transmits a virus have they? What some have suggested is that it may induce similar symptoms or amplify existing symptoms. With regards to the tracking app, I will be saying thanks, but no thanks. [Post edited 5 May 2020 11:31]

This is good news on 08:30 - May 5 by bluelagos | Stokie, let me help you here. David Icke has often repeated his belief that the Royal family are Lizards. Anyone who chooses to take anything he says, ever, seriously, is a mentalist and not worthy of your time. You are wasting your time and energy on loons. Conspiracy theorists aren't worth your valuable time imho. |
"You are wasting your time and energy on loons. Conspiracy theorists aren't worth your valuable time imho." "It is right for me today, as Prime Minister, to make a proper apology to the families of the 96 for all they have suffered over the past 23 years. The injustice of the appalling events; the failure of the state to protected their loved ones and the indefensible wait to get to the truth and then the injustice of the denigration of the deceased, that they were somehow at fault for their own deaths. So, on the behalf of our government, and indeed our country, I am profoundly sorry that this double injustice has been left uncorrected for so long." "The truth about Hillsborough is far, far worse than even the most conspiracy-minded Reds fan ever thought it would be. It came out first in 2012, with a government inquiry that found the police officers responsible for the mishandling of the crowd later engaged in a conspiracy to cover-up their role in the deaths." "Now the CPS alleges it was a manslaughter, and the police lied about it." "The Guardian has an excellent long-read on this conspiracy, and it's worth quoting a couple of sections. The conspiracy started the night of the disaster, when police were drinking in their pub:" https://www.businessinsider.com/south-yorkshire-police-conspired-to-cover-up-hil

The problem is you being a condescending ar5e who obviously has to be right! The word "retaliation" has more than one definition you know, your assumption that I was using it to suggest "battle or war" does in fact say more about the way you see things than I.

You seem to be under the impression that people either believe every conspiracy or none. There were dead bodies and broken families after Hillsbrough. There was a generation like me that were brought up with lies that took 25 years to untangle and still permeate prejudice. Your equivalence of Hillsbrough with 5G and other assorted nonsense is pretty disgusting, especially towards someone directly affected. The intellectual dwarfism of using quotes with no analysis or input is telling of your usual level of debate too. I notice this thread keeps convulsing away from anything approaching "here's concrete evidence" it all whimpers away in "yeah well actually I've not looked that closely into it but free speech and my rights" type nonsense and accusation of being belittled whilst implying everybody else is some homogenous lump of idiocy.

This is good news on 13:24 - May 5 with 898 views | Darth_Koont | Bumped into this article the other day which I think was very interesting — and this thread seems as good a place as any for it. Rather than take sides between the conspiracy theorists and those who similarly can be in extreme denial of things that go against the conventional narrative, this seeks to explain why this is happening. TLDR The main conclusion is that the absence of checks and balances from a functioning, critical and trustworthy media has left a void (at least psychologically) that has become a battleground. Politicians taking responsibility is of course important but not exactly likely if to borrow the phrase no-one is that interested or incentivized in "holding their feet to the fire". https://www.jonathan-cook.net/blog/2020-04-28/era-great-disillusionment/

It's clear that that quote you're replying to has everything to do with 5G etc. It's clear the link you were making and the tone of it. There are no "slippery tactics" other than the ability to read and think. You do this repeatedly. You're not the only one either on this thread. Your lack of ability to scrutinise information and inherent bias undermines any chance of these concerns being taken seriously.

No need to be abusive. You've been called out by numerous posters with regards to your posts content and style. This is good news on 11:13 - May 5 by Harry_Palmer | I simply said I am keeping an open mind. I genuinely did not keep a copy of the study and only skimmed over it, if I come across it again I will post it. As you say it well be that there were other more prominent correlations such as population density etc. Like most studies I think it concluded that further studies should be carried out. I reserve the right to keep an open mind and I really don't have to justify this or prove anything, it is what everybody should be doing to be honest. Its a new virus and a new technology we are talking about, it's not like somebody has all the answers. |
If you come across the study again then it would be good if you could post it up so I can have a read. SB

This is good news on 08:29 - May 5 by StokieBlue | "Let me be clear here I am not saying 5G isn't safe i am saying i would prefer if it had been properly tested for any negative health effects before it was implemented just so we could be 100% sure. As you said better safe than sorry." What form should this proper testing have taken? As has been pointed out by countless scientists, as a civilisation we know how the EM spectrum works and have done for 150 years. This is just a part of that spectrum and a very low energy and non-ionising part like your monitor and far below visible light or your microwave. As for science not being settled, that is of course correct. However for theories that are proven it's not OK to say someone else has a hypothesis and that is as valid as the proven theory. It's an appalling argument. A hypothesis is not a theory as others have pointed out and thus doesn't have equivalence of weight. It's bad form to keep pushing them as if they do. "I would argue that people like you can't help being condescending because you are so convinced that you are right about something just because you have found evidence and sources that support your belief but ignore all the conflicting evidence & sources." Isn't this what you've been doing all threat? You won't even respond of scientifically proven facts about the EM spectrum, you just post stuff from some website that agrees with you and ignore points which require evidence-based responses. Your sources aren't conflicting as they don't have evidence to support them. By your own admission they are hypotheses (most of which are disproved) and not theories. Can't even be bothered with the condescending nonsense anymore. Two posters have been accused of that in this thread, both of whom tried to counter the non-evidence based points being made with scientific evidence. One could equally make the same argument about your posts given your lack of willingness to look at the actual science and repeated dismissal of proven theory in favour of unproven hypotheses. Pretty condescending by your logic. SB |

A hypothesis is not a theory as others have pointed out and thus doesn't have equivalence of weight. It's bad form to keep pushing them as if they do." Nowhere have I said that a hypothesis is as valid as proven theory. You do have a way of distorting other peoples arguments. What I am pointing out is there is a difference between theories put forward by people who work in the industry, scientists & health experts as opposed to lunatics like Alex Jones & David Icke putting forward their own completely baseless theories. When someone like Icke puts forward a theory that the world is run by a sinister group of repitillian shapeshifting aliens or Alex Jones claims that the world is really flat & Sandy Hook massacre was really a US government False Flag psy op it is not worth even entertaining the notion & investigating it further. But when so many doctors & scientists raise legitimate concerns over the safety of 5G I believe it warrants further investigation and testing. Surely you and others should be able to distinguish between the two different types of 'conspiracy' theory I have outlined. As for what form the testing should take, how do you expect a layman like me to answer that? I am not a scientist, doctor or an expert in the wireless technology industry. The fact that so many of these people have been calling for testing into the effects on human health as well as to the environment suggests that some form of testing is possible. As for actual evidence have a look at this scientific journal from October last year on the effects on nonionizing radiation. I have pasted a couple of extracts that are particularly relevant. https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/observations/we-have-no-reason-to-believe-5 Last year, a $30 million study conducted by the U.S. National Toxicology Program (NTP) found “clear evidence” that two years of exposure to cell phone RFR increased cancer in male rats and damaged DNA in rats and mice of both sexes. The Ramazzini Institute in Italy replicated the key finding of the NTP using a different carrier frequency and much weaker exposure to cell phone radiation over the life of the rats. Numerous recent scientific publications have shown that EMF affects living organisms at levels well below most international and national guidelines. Effects include increased cancer risk, cellular stress, increase in harmful free radicals, genetic damages, structural and functional changes of the reproductive system, learning and memory deficits, neurological disorders, and negative impacts on general well-being in humans. Damage goes well beyond the human race, as there is growing evidence of harmful effects to both plant and animal life.” As for being condescending i will refer you back to an earlier reply to one of my posts. "If you are worried about 5G you probably shouldn't go out in the daytime or use the lights in your house or post on here in front of your monitor. Better to be safe than sorry." If you met Frank Clegg the former president of Microsoft Canada and he was telling you of his concerns with 5G technology, would you give such a retort? I doubt it. Being patronising and condescending is not big or clever, anyone can do it. I only respond in a condescending manner to someone if they do so to me first. Treat people as they treat you as they say. If proper testing had been carried out before the implementation of 5G and it was proved without doubt that it was completely safe it is less likely nut jobs like Icke would spout their crazy baseless theories. And if they still did i believe less people would take them seriously and we probably wouldn't have people going out setting fire to 5G masts endangering themselves and others. Would you not agree?
