I’ve turned the c^*+ off on 19:56 - Oct 31 with 4292 views | Nthsuffolkblue | He said it is the balance between the economy and health and he regrets nothing. Chris Witty said if the lockdown does not work now, the NHS will be in an impossible position in December. Doctors will be choosing who receives treatment and who dies without it (non-Covid as well as Covid). He was asked would an earlier lockdown have worked better. He said the science says the later it came inevitably the more deaths but it was a political decision. The scientists said measures will need to be in place until the spring but it should get better in the spring.

And he’s made the wrong call and negatively impacted both health and the economy, against the advice of his scientists. The c^*+.

I’ve turned the c^*+ off on 20:12 - Oct 31 with 4206 views | StokieBlue | He's an absolute tool. However I believe the latest SAGE assessments say that even a "firebreak" over half-term wouldn't have been enough. The UK, along with the rest of Europe are way above the "reasonable worst-case scenarios" which was what the firebreak was modelled on. So absolutely right to criticise him for not doing it but worth noting it probably wouldn't have been enough anyway. SB

In Germany, the whole of November sees pubs, bars, restaurants, cinemas, theatres and gyms closing. (takeaways allowed to remain open - delivery only) Supermarkets, Retail shops & schools will remain open. We’ve already had a ban on alcohol sales after 11pm - which also saw all the above businesses closing at 11pm.

There was a Q&A. Listened to it on R5live. Basically every journo asked him why ignored the Scientific advice weeks ago and whether that will cause additional deaths. He replied "Spluff, blurr, brur, brur, brur". He then said there reasons to be optimistic.

You're a disgrace. Why you're still tolerated on here I have no idea. All you do is attempt to undermine and sow doubt to further whatever weird agenda you have. Why don't you give everyone a break and find somewhere else to post your rubbish before anyone on here takes you seriously. SB

Let me elaborate... The data doesn’t show levels of testing between August compared to October so doesn’t show whether the disease is really rising or whether tests are just more abundant. There needs to be comparative data sets. It doesn’t show whether the strain has weakened or not in that time as there’s no data on the severity of the cases - herd mentality was meant to achieve exactly this ie: increasing anti-bodies naturally among the mass to weaken the strain’s effectiveness. There’s no data or projections for who may have had it and not diagnosed or reported it across the periods presented. In short, we’re being presented data as fact without any ability to question it. Until then, it’s not science as you incorrectly state, it’s statistics and empirical at that.
