The old vote of confidence, as you say he's hardly going to say anything other than that, especially on gameday.

A vote of confidence is one thing if we are in a blip. This is not a blip - it's fundamental mismanagement of the club from the top to the bottom. I really, really hope he didn't say that and if he did, that he is lying. No one can be that tone-deaf.

Same. Just caught a clip of Drinan too. Think it's a twitter bollox rumour unless someone can actually confirm otherwise?

I've just heard it - the preamble from Suffolk says more than the interview - but sounds supportive I think message from the club is, that nothing is imminent - but who knows what Marcus is actually thinking - but expectation currently is he digs his heels in until top 6 status looks dodgy (which to me is already the case!) We need to show them that this is our club and that we will not stand idly by whilst they plunge it into the ground as they are too deluded and paranoid to understand the seriousness of it.

The club does seem to be highly dismissive of outside concerns when it comes to Lambert. It's almost like the club hierarchy are in an abusive relationship with him where he's convinced them that nobody else will want them and they're nothing without him.

Just read on Twitter that Lee O'Neill was just on Suffolk.... on 09:05 - Dec 1 with 2719 views | FrankfurtBlue | What else could he have said? Until Evans makes the decision to sack him, or PL does the honourable thing (not likely), LON or anybody else at the club has to (at least be seen to) stand behind PL. The more worrying issue is, if the trigger does get pulled, what's next? Can you trust Evans to choose a new manager to run the club under his leadership? Does such a manager exist?

Time to go back to Mick with a wad of cash and a heartfelt apology.

I guess that depends on what his remit was. If it was promotion to the Prem then he failed. If it was to be competitive on a non-competitive budget then he succeeded. As fans we want the former, but it's going to be hard to achieve it without something changing at the club.

Wouldn't surprise me either. (a) he's committed to Lambert with that albatross of a contract. (b) Evans never moves quickly on things like this (Mick's departure was drawn out over about a year) and only then does he move when our league place is threatened, which leads us to.. (c) we're 6th and very much in the hunt for promotion whilst being hammered by injuries to key players. Yes, we've collapsed twice in a week against top sides, but there are more than enough reasons there why Evans won't act.

We've lost 7 or 8 out of 10 in all competitions, this isn't a reaction to the two defeats last week.

Paul can hear the fans at Celtic park singing his name again, he can go there and put the soul back into Celtic and offer them a "little help" in the transfer market. Alan Judge would do well up there.

We're in the Top 6 thanks to a quirk of the fixture computer, nothing more.

I know, but that does include cup games that he'll have explained away to ME as 'focusing on the league/too many injuries, etc'. We're still 6th and very much in the hunt. I'd be gobsmacked if ME pulls the trigger now. I don't agree, but I'm just trying to think how ME will behave based on his past record. He's a cautious man who won't want to throw away money when we're still up there imo.
