We can but hope. 5 more defeats on the trot and even Evans might act. A hard-fought win tomorrow and we will still need another 6 inept toothless defeats.

Employ Glenn Hoddle and insult millions of disabled people? It's an option I suppose. At least the football would be (genuinely) better.

Regulation win tomorrow night... on 09:54 - Feb 15 with 2113 views | Hipsterectomy | Evans giving Lambert this contract is unforgivable. You could understand it if it was given when we were winning 6 in a row in this league, but the writing was on the wall well before the contract was given. Evans continues to set us back decades with his insane decisions. He needs to leave just as much as Lambert.

It's another example of where Evan's patience morphs into stubbornness. He offered the contract when we were on very good form. However, rather than withdraw the offer when things dipped, he doubled down on it. It shows Evans to be a man of his word but not necessarily to make the sensible choices when it really matters.

True. I've never heard of an owner apparently being more 'hands on' than ever before, yet resulting in the biggest failure of their ownership so far.

Even if we win tomorrow it's hard to see us getting any points from the 4 games after that at the moment. This is why he should already be gone, even if we win tomorrow nothing will have changed and Oxford, Hull, Doncaster and Accrington are all likely to beat us. Even if we lose tomorrow and he goes (unlikely) then that isn't any time at all to get someone else in and ready for those 4 matches. SB

Yep. It is astonishing that Evans has decided to go into that run of games with Lambert in charge.

I wonder how the club will spin it if we do lose those 4 games, as surely we'll be looking at the lower bottom half of the table after that. Right around season ticket sales time as well...

Spot on. There was a point where I could stomach losses because it meant a chance for Shambert to go and the new manager to come in and rescue the season, but I fear we are dangerously close to that plan running out of time. It's almost like we need him to fluke some wins out of knowhere to still stand a chance this season but that then means he is more likely to keep his job! I've just read back what I wrote...how utterly depressing it is to be a Town fan at the moment.

If we go on that sort of losing run we will be looking at how close the relegation places are getting. There is more chance of us being in a relegation battle than a promotion one.

its almost to the point now where I hate lambert and evans so much that Id laugh if we did go down just to see how they try to spin it

If we lose those 4 I assume he will be gone and then the new manager will have 20 games or so to get things how he wants for a push next season. Depressing isn't it. SB

There really isn't, we probably need to pick up 10 points in 20 games to be safe

No we won’t - we’re 15 points clear of the relegation places and the teams in it are averaging less than a point per game We’d certainly be miles from where we should be though

Regulation win tomorrow night... on 10:45 - Feb 15 with 1839 views | Dubtractor | I think this is why everyone was so peeved about Saturday's cancellation. I think we all hoped that the likely/possible loss (given Shrewsbury's form) could have been the final nail in the coffin. Whereas now we'll win the 'easy' game against Northampton and he gets a stay of execution.

There’s always little scenarios like this, isn’t there. Same as Hurst and the Swansea game.

Do you see there being more chance of us getting promoted than the chances of that happening? I agree it is unlikely we would get that bad. But it is equally unlikely that we will get promoted. Neither is going to happen.

Even on our current form we’ve gained 10 points from the last 8 games So yes, promotion is more likely although I completely agree neither is remotely likely to happen (unless we make the obvious change)
