Both IMO suit a 4-4-2 and certainly in Bishop's case, more than capable at Championship level.

On his day he's superb but his day is a couple of times a season, he just can't get the consistency and he will be 25 when the season starts - he needs to be performing every match as he's not a youngster anymore.

I don’t understand the clamour from many to keep him. If he didn’t come through our academy I don’t think people would feel the same way, ultimately for an attacking midfielder 5 goals in 120 games isn’t great.
For me he does 2/3 very tidy things in a game but goes missing for large parts. I actually think it would do him well to have a fresh start somewhere.

Having a player in the centre of the park who can beat a man and break the lines is hugely valuable at any level and there isn't a whole heap of those types of players available.
Whilst i think he needs to do more and he's probably in the last chance saloon here now, he's in no way been awful and we must get rid of him stage. |  | | |

Can you remember the last time he had a great game? It was near the start of the season under Lambert.

Bristol Rovers at home, I think, under Cook. He definitely looked better when played at the number ten position than alongside Downes or Dozzell so, if he stays, I’d like to see if played there. I guess the question is can we improve on him? If so, then let him go. If not, then why weaken the squad? As said, whilst he’s flattered to deceive at times he hasn’t been awful. | |

One wonders if perhaps Teddy has been judged on Character (and IDK this is just a theory) didn't he have a few issues a couple of years back, perhaps as he was breaking through with gambling (Not Chopraesque on anything) was it betting on footy when players not allowed or something.
Now that's just 1 isolated incident on which it would be v unfair to judge him so possibly well wide of the mark but seems like something he perhaps picked up trying to be one of the lads?
I guess my point is perhaps Teddy is a bit easily led into bad habbits? |  |
