Colleague of mine went to Wembley on Tuesday on a mates ticket because his mate had to self isolate.

Said colleague enjoyed the game but is now at home very ill with COVID.....despite being double jabbed.

This is what I don’t get. Everyone seems to be blaming the government for removing legal requirements as if they are forces us all to go out and mix! Saw a survey the other day that 70% of people want to keep wearing masks. But who’s stopping them? Feels to me like a lot of people don’t seem to get the idea of personal responsibility. If we don’t want to mix with other people we don’t have to - we don’t have to stop wearing masks.

I’m not sure it’s a great idea to open up in the way we’re doing, but even so ....

When considered as a whole, the population isn't capable of behaving unilaterally in a way that would slow transmissions, let alone reduce them. There has to be a coordinated public health effort. There i no other way. 'Common sense" and "personal responsibility" won't do it.
