I think Barry is one of those take a chance on a prem youngster loans. In brief appearences so far, can't say i've noticed much that will help us personally. Think league 2 may have been better for him to begin with

No, it's not bloated but without offloading a couple of three (Holy, Kenlock and Jackson) - with Celina and Walton coming in - it's certainly not 'lean' anymore.
It's not a massive problem as I think we all agree that on paper it's a better squad but I do wonder who we wouldn't have signed had we got Celina earlier, for example. Also, we do have an abundance of attacking players whilst still have glaring issues in the middle of the part and possibly, I'd argue at CB. |  |

I think we'll settle around 24/25 Which will give you nice numbers to work with as you'll rarely have a full squad in training together. | |

Likewise Evans or Harper with the proposed signing of Morsy. Why did we buy Penney and 4 games in replace him with Coulson. We would have been better to keep Kenlock as a backup because he is no worse than Penney.

Coulson was always coming in, just waited on Boro. Penney came as the back up and potential left flank cover option too.
Morsey.. well we tried to sign Crooks, so we've always clearly wanted to sign another cm in that mould
Hladky, was 1 of 2 keepers we wanted to sign

Cook has said he wants two players for every position . It’s a squad aimed at getting out of this division, first and foremost . I’m addition , where possible , you add players willing to come here whilst we are a league one side , that can do a job for us in the Championship. I’d say Edwards, Coulson, Fraser, Edmundson, Burgess, and potentially Morsy and Celina all fit that bill . | |

Is it too far fetched to think that Morsy, Walton and Celina were always part of the plan.
And surely you can see that Penney is an upgrade on Kenlock? I expect if Kenlock does get a move it will be to the National League at best. | | | |

By the end of tomorrow we will have two players for each position and probably one spare defender and one spare forward. It’ll be much tighter than last season. | |
