Not suggesting him for a moment… 07:23 - Dec 6 with 1492 views | hoppy | But just a random thought really… What would Mick do with this squad, given it’s already assembled? What would his first lineup be from the options available to him?

Burgess at left back, donacien at right back. Norwood back on the bench. Evans and morsy in midfield, no attacking midfielders whatsoever.

Douglas was in retirement when he ambled about for us last time round wasn’t he? Still, it has to be one of the only times an opposition supporter filmed a player because he’s so bad and posted it (Newcastle away). On the upside Duggie is a ‘proper bloke’ and had a dinky little action man beard like Ashton, so they might get on and do a little duet at the Christmas party.
Not suggesting him for a moment… on 08:17 - Dec 6 with 1175 views | Swansea_Blue | Surely he'd find time to tell us to feck off before rolling his sleeves up and getting started? I suspect he'd do just fine. He's a couple of natural wingers that he always wanted but struggled to find when he was here, so there's a (very) slim chance the football would be better than last time. Although his Cardiff team were truly dire, so no guarantees of course.

Evans is far too attacking to be a MM midfielder! Maybe Carroll with Morsy until January then a lot of the attacking players will be off and we'll sign a new defensive midfielder and experienced central defender. I reckon Pigott and Norwood will be the 2 strikers We'd probably get promoted with our players under Mick then go for 0-0 every week in the Championship

Not suggesting him for a moment… on 09:04 - Dec 6 with 987 views | Darth_Koont | Walton Donacien Nsiala Edmundson Burgess Aluko/Burns Morsy El Mizouni Celina Bonne Pigott/Chaplin Or something with Burns and Penney as wingbacks.

Not suggesting him for a moment… on 09:10 - Dec 6 with 962 views | Tangledupin_Blue | He and TC would work on the players and make them feel good and they would improve. The defenders would play as a unit. KVY would get his mojo back. Mick would love Burns and Morsy and they would love him. By Christmas 2022 we would be in Championship play-offs.

Not suggesting him for a moment… on 09:12 - Dec 6 with 947 views | clive_baker | To be fair we do have the personnel for Mick, not that I would want him here. He would have Edmundson humping long balls to Pigott. Walton Donacien Woolfenden Edmundson Penney Burns Morsy Evans Aluko Pigott Bonne Not sure it would be pretty but I dare say it would yield more points than Cook.

True, i went with evans because he's the biggest. El miz then, but that feels harsh because i like el miz. Carroll, no chance - too lightweight. Good call on the strikers and decent prediction of how we'd go.

Yup, bang on - think El Mizouni might get ahead of Evans, and possibly KVY at right-back and Burgess at left-back. Really simply philosophy - Bonne working the channels, Pigott holding it up, get it to the wide players quickly, get crosses in to the box, and two forwards good in the air attacking it, Morsy arriving late. We'd romp the division. Fraser and Celina on the bench getting 5 minutes here and there.

Bonne and Pigott are probably as close as you would get to McGoldrick & Murphy at this level. Not suggesting they're as good, but neither are the opposition. Industry in the middle in Evans and Morsy, with the latter enforcing. A Skuse role. Burns perhaps his Anderson, works hard, gets up and down and has a bit of quality to create. Perhaps he would stick Chaplin on the left, goal threat from there in a Sears kind of role. A back 4 that first and foremost defend. Not that I would want him back, but if he was appointed on Wednesday morning I wouldn't bet against us going to Wigan and getting 3 points.
