Good opening bid, although I'm sure there'll be someone along in a minute to rock the official name of the entity: "The Football Association Premier League Limited".
Also, carefully what you wish for. For me, "the Premiership" is a mildly irritating title, but the phrase "EPL" is gaining currency. That would put us on this country on the same footing as NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL in the States, and IPL in cricket. I personally think that would be worse.
By the time we get there, doubtless it will be the third tier behind the ESL and ISDL (European Super League and Intergalactic Super Duper League). |  | | |

Worse, it is often marketed overseas as "the EPL" - now that is annoying. Whatever marketing bod came up with that should be shot at dawn. |  |
