The even better statistic is how the table looks if sixth place don't lose their game in hand and either or both of 7th and 9th win theirs.

That and the form table look lovely at the moment.

It's very poor this year, there should be a team (or 2) on 40+ points at this stage...I suppose it just means the inevitable Noj promotion as they finally put a decent run together as no one else can be bothered.

Burnley appear to be doing so. Their manager seems to have a good idea of what he is doing. I am optimistic that at least one of the rest of the top 4 will too.

Unfortunately, that still won't stop nodge sneaking the play-offs and going up. Although, it would be amusing if they failed in them so they could extend their "honours" with another "failed in the play-offs" entry.

I think they’ll ( nodge) finish just about mid table!

They're going just about perfectly at the moment - picking up enough scrappy points to keep the clueless Smith in charge as their competitive advantage ebbs away.

Sounded like a morgue on the telly last night, their fan groups are having meetings about the deteriorating atmosphere, and it's never been the most lively of places has it!

I knew the atmosphere was bad but I watched the game last night and couldn’t believe just how bad it was. As you say it sounded completely dead and soulless.

Not a patch on ours. I would absolutely love us to get promoted and then to lose in the playoffs, that would be absolutely ideal.

That would set up next season beautifully, so long as you mean 'them' not 'then'!

Birmingham are currently in 13th place, just five points off a play off spot, are also only 5pts clear of a relegation spot.*

They're definitely going down the 'improved performance' road here.

Think Watford have got their act together now, can see them top 2.

Can’t be right, TWTD reliably informs us everytime they sack their manager that it’s ridiculous and will never work, and anyone would be mad to go there

It's a cliche but this season a good couple of weeks can see a team rise ten or so places and a bad couple of weeks can see them fall by the same amount.

Coventry have been struggling and are just above the relegation places but win their 2 games in hand against the teams above them and they can shoot into the top 10.

Burnley the only team threatening to take control and run away with things.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

I heard on a podcast that in Blackburn's 19 matches there has not been a single equalising goal, either for them or for the opposition.

Kind of demonstrates why 3 points for a win was such a good move all those years ago. They've won the games they didn't lose.

That would be impressive form if it were true. However, it is 8/12 ... or overall 11/18. They have won or lost every match.
