Good move for Yengi 16:25 - Jan 31 with 2626 viewsitfcjoe

And good to see him sign a new deal as well

Real chance to see how he progressed in Finland as he has some real tools to his game from the little I saw of him

Looking forward to seeing how he progresses, a good club for him to be going to as well seem to have some momentum.

Have you heard anything about Tawanda Chirewa Joe? Guess he will be gone in the summer if he's not signing and heading out on loan this window. Such a shame.

Genuinely really happy about this - was concerned he was going to be someone that ended up leaving because we've overstocked the squad and we never get to see what he can really do. Might not make it into the first team at any point of course but would be a shame if he wasn't given an opportunity.

Maybe it's the Football Manager part in me but unearthing a talent from a slightly obscure market and developing them into a first team player is something I love about football!

Hard to judge the standard of the Finnish league but clearly did well in that environment and good that it's led to him going to a promotion-chasing league two side (and was interesting another) as hopefully that will allow him to kick on.

Thought he looked well out of his depth* in the U23s when he first arrived so has made really strong progress.

*Figuratively, he's 6ft 5, obviously.

The club obviously see somethřng in him worth a longer look. Be nice to see him score a few for The Cobblers and see what he's got.

Thought he was destined for the exit as I'd not heard anything to suggest he was flourishing here. The few clips from Finland weren't much to judge but he seemed to enjoy himself out there.

Who was the other Aussie lad we had who seemed promising but faded?

Did he go back to Oz?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Last paragraph says he was in with a chance of making the Aussie squad for Qatar World Cup, describes him as a winger

Watched a compilation of his loan highlights earlier. Impressive - dare we think we had our own version of Matt Crooks on the books all along? Of all the players that we have chased over the last couple of years, he was the one I was most disappointed we didn’t get.

Agreed on that, useful player, I can't really tell what he is

Would he be a number 10 or does he play deeper than that, he looked almost looked like a number 9 at times as well, a really unusual type of midfielder

Totally agree. He's very raw but has some obvious attributes that are different to what we or .ost clubs have at 6ft 5 and with skill and ability. Impossible to know if he can put it all together with footballing brain, mentality and developing his ability. But like to see a player like this given time to go out and develop.

He's not super young though so big year for him and seems a perfect club to finish this season.

I expect the thinking is he will be able to increase his value with this loan so most likely the contract gets us a bigger fee. But you never know...
