I have to say the Owls and Argyle forums make interesting reading this morning. Never known such a pessimistic self resigning bunch.
They seem to forget the fact they still occupy the top two slots yet are talking like their seasons are over!!

This is how blips can become something more. Everyone gets edgy, negativity from the fans feeds into the players on the pitch, and things start feeling like they are going against you. We had this ourselves in December and January. What started as being on the wrong end of a few fine margins to draw games we should have won soon turned into a more sustained period of poor form and a few genuine poor performances. Thankfully we had the character and quality to turn things around again with plenty of time left in the season to re-establish a top 2 challenge. Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday, the latter in particular, could easily have the season end in a death spiral. Here's hoping.

The quickest way to judge the feelgood factor amongst an (online) fanbase is to measure the length of any thread devoted entirely to puns: the happier the punters, the longer these threads get.

Both of them have real reason to be concerned but Plymouth especially should feel pretty confident after the season they have had.

Truly impaired.

We also significantly strengthened the squad in Jan and now players coming back from injury. Plymouth and Sheff Weds look weaker with key players missing.

I'm a nervous wreck anyway.... been a town fan too long to expect anything other than disappointment.

Don't get me wrong, team is playing great I'm so happy esp after Sat as we knew they'd be a test but it's Ipswich isn't it. If I was a Weds or Plymouth fan I'd be feeling it too

It’s just classic football fans isn’t it. Reading some of the stuff on here with 16 or whatever games to go was laughable.

We are comfortably the best side in this division - comfortably. The first 20mins on Saturday was exceptional and we scored two goals that nobody else would get close to. We spent millions of pounds in January on championship quality players. It’s a tough league for sure but our approach isn’t to get out of it and then come back down - we want to go up and then challenge. That’s very different to Wednesday who seem to have a load of decent standard journeyman.

Its a double edged sword for them...Especially SW.

It's as much about our excellent form, and Barnsley s good form. Thats got them worried.
Even if they find some kind of stuttering form in the next few games. They are powerless to do anything about ours.

I do enjoy reading a good yarn on those other websites. Dark days are looming especially for Wednesday. Even they must have been impressed with our first goal weaving from the right to the weft in spectacular fashion.

Strange how things go isn't it

Mumba was motm and pots to many plymouth fans. Now he's hurting the side to some.

Sheff wed fans back to questionning the manager who took them 21 games unbeaten.

Almost like some fans are speaking out with frustrations during a concerning period where they allowed a 10 point gap to drop at the top of the table.

How bizarre

Don’t think the impact of Luongo and Broadhead can be underestimated on Morsy and Burns.

I was critical of Morsy when he was partnered with Humphreys as I thought the latter was doing more. Now, looking back, Morsy was babysitting at the time and having an experienced, effective partner next to him has taken his game to the next level.

Before Broadhead arrived, teams would double up on Burns as the threat from the left wasn’t quite so prevalent. Now they cannot afford to do that, which gives Burns more space to operate.
