If not for a late Luton leveller, would've been really in the mire tonight. Weren't they in the top three around Nov/Dec?
They were top briefly. They were saying the other week that millwall were relegated a few years ago having been top at one point and only spent ten minutes of the entire season in the relegation zone, unfortunately for them, the last ten minutes of the season

Doubt Andre will be there next season if Ainsworth still is… whatever division they are in.
The lift for words forum page is full of gallows humour and the match reports very funny …. In the last one they said he did nothing in the game at all , that their photographer should get an award for best photo as he managed to grab a pic of Andre kicking the ball… though it does look like the warm up…
They also call him Andre the friendly ghost…
After that performance he wasn’t in the 18 tonight , let alone the 11

Reckon he’ll be at Colchester in a year or two
His father was really good for Colchester, at a time when there were plenty of really good ex-Ipswich midfielders at Layer Road. I think he would have played alongside Micky Stockwell, David Gregory, Geraint Williams, and Gavin Johnson, and there are probably more. These were very good players for the third level.
(This was a really good team to watch. Lomana Lua Lua was playing too, and even the shirt is often held up by fans as being the best the club ever had; it was sponsored by the EADT. )

Bristol Rovers went down to non-league a few years ago having not been in the relegation zone until the last half hour of the season and then came up to League One last year only getting in the top three for the first time with 10 minutes to go on the final day.
He always had " potential " at Ipswich in the sense of he was one of the few players in the team who could actually pass the ball. between that and who his Dad was a lot of us were blinded and I feel to some extent he got a free pass. Every other aspect of his game other than the odd exceptional pass / through ball needed heavy improvement and we never saw it at Ipswich and from the limited matches I have watched of him since, QPR have not seen it either.
A perfect example is Morsy / Luongo / Evans. All capable of passing the ball forwards and reading the game, yet they work, compete for headers, tackle, are brave on the ball. None of those things I ever saw AD do - he is no longer a youngster and as a championship midfielder should have the ability to take the game by the scruff of the neck. He is a player who waits for things to happen.

I wish Andre nothing but success, but he certainly wouldn't work in a McKenna team now.

I think McKenna would certainly have found a role for him, but imagine if KMK had managed to get his hands on Flynn Downes
Yep Downes would've flourished under McKenna, and we would have a long term option post Morsy etc.
Think Andre would also do well under McKenna's tutelage, but I'd imagine McKenna would demand more from him, which I don't think is in his game, add Humphreys to the mix think Andre would've struggled/been sacrificed.
Good luck to him, hope QPR stay up and can kick on there. Although you can imagine he's not an Ainsworth type of player...

That injury ruined things for Andre imo. It would be interesting to get the inside track on this. I believe he never got into any tempo of controlled aggression you need as a midfielder with regard tackling, out of fear, a mental trauma. He just couldn't, or wouldn't, put himself about physically. You have to ask why? Very mean spirited to simply say he's lazy, and from people who don't know him on a personal level from Adam. Not sure why some fans never gave him the benefit of the doubt.

I agree, he was here at a time when our Medical team consisted of a sponge and a tangerine, so that probably hindered him longer term.
But physically he looks to lightweight, he's probably similar stature to Chaplin, but Conor has bulk, think Dozzell needs to go on my diet for a few months...
I noticed he never gets a run of games. He might start then be benched for the next 3 and not get on which is probably hard to get in any type of form when it happens. Their fans haven’t taken to him at all though. Not sure if that’s a lack of talent or his perceived lack of effort/negative body language.

Got to remember he was a regular player for England up until U20 level. Brilliant that he scored, like his dad, on his debut but think he’s only had one senior goal for us since and none for QPR. As others have said, since his injury he just doesn’t seem to have the tenacity required. Real shame a definite player there. Wonder whether Oxford and Manning would be a fit for him.
He had loads of potential and technical ability, but without the speed of body to match the speed of thought. Few injuries and suddenly you're in League 1.
Although I have it on good authority that McEachran made a small fortune when at Chelsea so he can afford to coast a little now he's 30!

I reckon we'd have got into the playoffs last year with Downes in the team. Morsy had to do much of the midfield work by himself next to Bakinson or Carroll.
Although had Downes been in that midfield instead of Harper/Evans at the beginning of the season then maybe Paul Cook would have kept his job and McKenna wouldn't be here today.

Caroll is still without a club, one of our genuine misses last year wasn't he
