Not sure I recall that one, or is this just fishing for a bite? Woosh?

No whoosh Many years ago, it was a Friday, someone called East Fife Eric popped up berating town for ‘stealing’ a young George Burley which denied them the chance of competing against the Old Firm and going onto dominant European football

Lady Lucan's lost handbag was a very good subplot in that. A story that had everything! If that ever gets released as a Gatefold 12 inch single, I would suggest the time he was in a pub in Norwich and used a feature on his digital watch to keep changing the TV channel over as a great B side. He even took photos of the locals' confused faces. I can't remember if it was during a Norwich match, and he was switching it over from that, or if he was switching it to put Town on, though.

Others worthy of a mention: - Sitters' missing trainers - The time Colchester Blue (?) missed an outstanding last minute win against Derby to go on a date

It wasn't quite like that. I put Neil Young on youtube on my phone and bizarrely it came up on the pub TV. Once I realised I was some kind of wizard I put the 1978 FA Cup final on followed by Alex Mathie Demolition Derby. This all started at lunchtime when I snuck off for a quick livener but by the time I had finished messing around it was evening. Next time I went in there they informed me that I was banned, I asked why and they said I drank too much - which I thought was weird. after about a year or so they then said I could come back in again but I said I didn't want to and had in fact banned them from my pub hit list. Peace now reigns, I started going back in there a few months ago, in fact I was in there last night.

Did that actually get reported on EADT? And do you know I never did get compensated for that. And the damage turned out to be more than just a cracked headlight. When I went to get a new tyre a few months later, turned out I had a cracked wheel also.

Yeah, a whole story about council workers throwing your letter in the bin. Someone (maybe Dan) has it saved as a gif somewhere and will post it again hopefully. It's that bit that makes it a classic.
