Clarke 10:48 - Dec 3 with 3774 views | Wickets | Anyone mentioned the lung busting run from Harry that took away the two defenders to give Wes room for his super goal .
Clarke on 11:06 - Dec 3 with 3717 views | ParisBlue | Mick Mills was. He was bemoaning that Leif Davis would get credited with the assist when in reality Clarke's run gave Wes the opening.

Highlights camera angle didn’t help; Clarke had a good game on 11:15 - Dec 3 with 3664 views | unstableblue | Really pleased to see Clarke building in confidence again, and playing well. Still improvement needed, but he did a hell of a lot right. He is very physically fit and really quite quick. He was involved in the start of the Burns goal move, and kept driving up the pitch to as you say take some players away from Burns It’s a shame the highlights footage zooms in on Davies, if it had stayed wide, you’d have the sheer energy of Town players driving forward and moving Coventry players around… none more do than Clarke Was surprised Clarke started ahead of Williams, but he is our player Soft penalty, didn’t think it was one, thought Clarke stopped his leg

Isn't it great when our moans are about a person being "uncredited", oh how things have changed (for most of us) over the tenure of McKenna (Ashton, Gamechanger etc.). Rest of December looks tricky, including QPR.

He did! Says it’s good for stats on Leifs’ price but he wasn’t having that it was an assist. Gotta love Mick Mills!

Our fullbacks are excellent going forwards None of them tho are great at defending. Hence the goals conceded tend to come from the flanks.

Anyone would think that's because our gameplan is to funnel teams down the channels rather than play through us....
Clarke on 10:56 - Dec 5 with 2936 views | BlueBlood90 | Clarke did really well for the goal but was a bit naive in giving the penalty away. It's going to be a big decision for McKenna whether to start Williams or Clarke against Norwich. Clarke has played more regularly whilst Williams has been ill/injured and now with Williams being suspended for Boro then you'd have to think Clarke has the advantage.

Williams is a better player than Clarke right now, but Clarke's temperament probably gets him the nod vs Norwich. Williams seems to be much more volatile and throw in playing Norwich I could easily see him being a walking red card.

Williams was easily beaten at the back post for the goal…

Good angle on the replay for that goal. The ref couldn't see the actual foul as a Coventry player was right in line with the incident.

Man has the run on fullback and wins the ball… that’s not a foul. Likely whoever the fullback was would have been beaten, it happens, I was just being a d1ck for the sake of it

That's a foul - he nigh on launches Williams into the stand. Anywhere else on the pitch, that's a free-kick. And at least a chat from the ref.

Mark Robins seemed to hint that he thought it was a foul post-match. At the end of this. Robins: They're a Good Side and Up There For a Reason 2nd Dec 2023 21:33Coventry City manager Mark Robins felt echoes of his team last season, when they reached the Championship play-off final before losing on penalties to Luton, as Town beat his team 2-1 at Portman Road this afternoon. 9

I get why you said it. But Simms didn't win the ball. He clattered into the back of Williams, which caused him (Williams) to head the ball into the net. I'm all for physical contact in the game, but come on...

NTT20 commented on it, saying it was definitely a foul and were laughing at how it wasn't given. Just one data point, but independent, rather than blue-tinted.

Yes the Ref realised his mistake pretty quickly so decided to blow for full time straight away.
