That is a bizarre match report. We could have scored three or four in the 2nd half on top of Hutchinson’s goal. The game felt like a home game for me. We were pretty much in control from start to finish. Michael Duff came out with similar nonsense after the Swansea game and I said if he thinks this he’ll be out of a job soon. The writer of this better be updating his or her CV.

Would've been a believable match report had the match stats not been at the bottom of it.

And this admission in the middle of it all "Ipswich goalkeeper Hladky was called upon first time on the hour-mark", which also happened to be their only effort he had to save.

'Boro were looking far and away the more dangerous of the two sides, yet Ipswich doubled their advantage with only their second shot on target of the afternoon.'

I completely missed that on first read! Does that mean we had 8 attempts on target after that despite them being the more attacking? Sounds are far more breathless last 23 minutes than I thought I listened to.

To all our upcoming opponents, this is spot on, Town have been lucky and the bubble is bound to burst, ignore our league position, you won't need to break into a sweat to beat us. You can even rest all your best players.

"despite Michael Carrick’s Boro creating the better chances, they were unable to find a way past Vaclav Hladky"

LOL what chances? Their best chance was Woolfie's header. Delusional reporting really.

That's a bit blue-tinted!

There was that one where Boro's attacker picked the ball up on the left, came inside and curled a shot just outside the right post (which he really should've hit the target with). Then Vaz had to make two good saves as well. I suppose, technically, Boro did have the better chances as we didn't really create very much but we were clinical with our shots on target.

But we completely dominated the game with and without the ball so that match report is absolute bunkham!

We had equally as many clear chances imo. Hirst fluffed one with a clear shot 8 yards out. He was denied a goal by a fantastic last ditch block. Broady was denied one with a last ditch block. And there were several other good chances including the one Taylor put narrowly over. They had some for sure, and we rode our luck a bit, but we were without doubt more creative. Even if there weren’t as many chances as we normally create.
