if you suddenly got a contract like the one Mckenna is said to have been offered, where would you live? (If your job required you to be in Ipswich every day.)

(I'm reminded of Zlatan Ibrahimovich, who bought a house in Malmö that wasn't even for sale.)

I'd buy the Cobbold's estate that was listed on here a few months back and just wander about naked everywhere.

I'm sure Kieran is thinking exactly the same.

His family will stay by the park, but he’ll buy an ex council house on Chantry for use during the week, one of the 4 bedroom mid terrace ones to stay grounded, get a feel for the outer estates and what it means to us. Having said that, Glanville Place in Kesgrave is nearer Playford Road.

Don't you mean Glanville Palace, as it's colloquially known.

Never get the obsession with a basketball court, or a tennis one come to that. A nice 5 a side with lovely sagging goal nets that you can get up in the morning and belt a few into the net. That’s the dream! Rod Stewart has it right.

Sold in 2017 for £980k, they must have spent a small fortune on it.

Not sure there is a huge market in Bealings for a Basketball Court.

I like that myself.

I don't think he's the sort to go mahoosive, practicalities will be important, probably a little bit of privacy somehow more important with bl**dy sky cameras everywhere.

Best of luck to him whatever the decision.

I have this housing master plan that I may share with Mckenna. I quite like the idea of buying 4 adjoining Council houses on Haverhills Chalkstone Estate. (But I think the same master plan may work just as well in Chantry)

You can then knock through and convert um into 1 enormous super house and crown yerself king of the estate.

I'm sure Kieran as already considered this genuis move but just in case.

I love modern so first one for me. But bloody hell the master suite looks to be the size of my house!

We'd need walkie talkies to find each other in those houses.... actually there's an idea.
