Leeds or Southampton on 10:20 - May 26 with 3338 views | Parky | Think I’d rather Leeds, purely because Southampton have more players we’re likely to be in for. (Downes, Harwood-Bellis) and I think would be shopping in a similar market to us if they come up.

Vulture! Good point though😃 Leeds deserve it on playing performance/finishing third anyway.
Leeds or Southampton on 10:25 - May 26 with 3275 views | MK1 | Would prefer Southampton as more likely to be bottom 3 next season than Leeds. Also the way Leeds fans have been over the last season really p1ssed me off.

Having friends that support a team is the main reason to want them to lose surely!

On balance…. on 10:36 - May 26 with 3191 views | Bloots | ….I think I want Leeds to win. Leeds are potentially looking at money troubles next season, so that could hinder them. There’s the thought that we might get Downes if he doesn’t get promoted too, although thinking about signings seems a bit pointless at the moment. Plus, the more I think about it, the more I dislike Russell Martin. He’s a thundertwanger isn’t he?!

Leeds or Southampton on 10:38 - May 26 with 3167 views | unstableblue | Tough one. I have a feeling about Saints winning today, when they are fully flowing they are difficult as we saw at PR. Downes is key. And Leeds midfield and defence can be got at. But when Leeds front line clicks they’re frighteningly good. I can’t decide who will the weaker opponent in the Premiership next year. I know everyone bemoans Russell Martin, but he may suit the Premier League. And they’ve already got some decent players. But I think they’d be weaker than Leeds with their fan base and front line. So I guess Leeds to go up is preference. Leeds are desperate to go up, they’ll have to sell the team to balance their precarious books. So a lot of pressure on them. Perhaps also if Saints stay down Downes would be available. But the new West Ham manager may have plans for him, albeit he’s not yet clicked at the London Stadium. Should be a cracking match later and I’ll be watching. [Post edited 26 May 2024 10:39]

That's my thinking too, even though Leeds are the more dangerous team really

I think I edge towards Leeds for those reasons. And Martin being a Premier League manager is horrible, massive scum cûnt.

Leeds or Southampton on 10:53 - May 26 with 3057 views | LankHenners | Not good to have such loathing about one person but Russell Martin really is making this a difficult choice as normally it'd be Southampton all day for me. I know Play Off finals tend to be cagey anyway but I just hope this one is properly entertaining - the POs across the divisions have been very dull/one-sided this year, disappointing.

Leeds or Southampton on 11:14 - May 26 with 2965 views | Garv | Incredibly I prefer Farke between the two managers. Martin seems to be everything McKenna isn't (over emotional and salty) despite them having similar profiles as coaches. If we've any chance of getting Downes (unlikely either way I reckon) we need Soton to stay down. Leeds are potentially more dangerous as a rival next season but a lot can change so it seems pointless thinking about that yet. Leeds on their day are better and were better in the league overall, so based on that they deserve it.

Leeds or Southampton on 11:15 - May 26 with 2957 views | SuperKieranMcKenna | Leeds to lose - just to see all the salty tears from their entitled fans. As an added bonus Martin is incompetent, so 6 points for us next season, and Southampton to get relegated.
Leeds or Southampton on 11:15 - May 26 with 2957 views | Mullet | Leeds. We can get Downes and Harwood-Bellis done then and not have to see Russell Martin pretend he’s a proper manager. Imagine him poncing about in the Prem. At least people know Farke is an oddball not worth taking seriously already.

Was going to say the same but about David Brooks. I want Leeds to lose because of the way the entitlement of their fans during the season but can’t we probably gain more transfer options if they win.

He is, but if they don’t go up he’s perhaps more likely to jump ship to Brighton.
