uninspired by our signings so far i know Omari is exceptional and is decent along with Greaves but i’m not feeling that confident we have under 3 weeks before the season starts and it really doesn’t look look like we’re going to have a side much better than Luton,Burnley last season i’m hoping we lucky with a few decent signings between now and the end of August ideally before the Liverpool game.
We don’t like the european market for players and the british transfer market just not working for us fingers crossed things change between now and Liverpool game.

No think Hutchinson has the potential to be a top player . My biggest concern is Delap I've not seen enough of him to suggest he will score enough goals or work like Hirst to spend up to 20 million I hope he proves me wrong and is superb..

We're not done yet. Our days of signing anyone going to bring in 'bodies' are over.

We know what we want now. Liverpool and City are not going to define our season. We can wait for the right players.

Truly impaired.

No you are not alone, there are plenty of other flouncers out there ;)

I like all of our signings. I'm a big fan of Delap, my only negative there is that I think we overpaid for him. I also think we got a bargain in Greaves so it evens itself out.

If we are limiting ourselves from the foreign markets it is likely at McKennas behest with his criteria of who we should look at.

Also I don't get the comparison with Luton & Burnley. We were promoted with a much better team than Luton and didn't lose several key loan players like Burnley before the season.

I think you are. We’ve brought the best that we can given where we are at. Outstanding work so far just short on numbers. Surprised given the clubs history with Ashton and McKenna that people are even questioning it. Still a long time to go in the window. There will be a plan, I think people just get needy for information with the way social media works these days. IMO.

I also wonder if people realise how hard it is to attract players when you first go up a division.

In that 50 minute interview McKenna did he mentioned how difficult it was in the first transfer window to convince players without him/the club having a body of work as evidence behind them. And that it got progressively easier.

Probably why the OP said so far.....they know there's time left.

But also you said earlier a 31 year old 500k left back was a quality signing. A quality signing you like a lot so I think you'll be happy with any signings tbh.

Omari, Greaves, Muric and Johnson I think is superb business. Like all those players.

Delap i'm less sure on. Like the player but not the price we paid for him, but he is clearly one KM likes a lot.

Townsend I think is the best you can get to back up Leif so happy with that.

Time for some Centre Mids.

Newly promoted team spends 70million pounds in a couple of weeks - more than it’s spent combined on all previous transfers ever - and it’s just not enough.

Think as we get to the end of the window. As a whole it will feel different to how some feel now. Which is obvious and normal. A group of high potential players isn't to be sniffed at.. and if they joined at the end of the window following a group of say experienced players then many wouldn't have any reservations at all. Its just how it's started.

It also doesn't help when you're missing broady. Clarke. Al hamadi etc. So the squads rather light.

I thought Tanaka for Fortuna was very impressive why can’t we go and put a bid to rival Leeds i’m sure we could succeed it’s not like other teams don’t do it to us hey.
There are are some right bargains in that Japanese/ Korean leagues that have come over here and impressed for Wolves last season Celtic aswell just to name two but Kieran knows what he wants that’s why he said he wanted a few more in.
Delap shocked at the price just hope it pays off.

Left back you have two choices, buy an understudy or sell Leif Davis and bring in a first choice left back and still have to find an understudy.
KM is doing what is right for the balance of the team. It seems like he's a quality signing under that remit. It's not like we are just happy clappers. KM has earnt our trust and rarely brings in duds. Most of the poor signings would have been good signings even after their injuries if we hadn't moved up two leagues! The success of the team has meant that some players who were the right standard don't fit at the new level.

did like the idea of Johnson but wasn’t impressed at all saturday could well blame him for the two goals but it was only a friendly as bad as he was Greaves was better by far so let’s hope Johnson can find his feet.

Injuries are indeed a big concern. Broady’s a smart player who’ll be missed. And it’s worryingly quiet on your favourite Burns.

I think it's fair to say that he's a quality signing for that space in the squad, but certainly not a shirt seller, no.

It’s not really about the money though is it. Money doesn’t always equate to quality. It’s more about whether the players will fit us and are good enough to improve us to be competitive in the PL. We’ll have to wait and see on that.

I’m a 6/10 so far. Thought we may go for a bit more PL experience through the spine at least. But there’s time. For no reason whatsoever I feel like the Greek fella would have made a difference.

It's not to be fair looking at the squad, but it's not like we are done is it, I can see another 50M spent yet and would rather wait for the right signings than just sign who pops up at the right price.

Would be nice to get a couple more in soon though, squad is undoubtedly light on quality.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Agreed with almost all of that. With Delap we've paid £15 million which is a bit of British 'tax' i.e. you pay a bit more for homegrown.

I do think his ceiling is very high though so calculated gamble and I think he could be a beast in a year and help us this season. He's also under 21 so doesn't count on squad so I think worth paying a premium for that as well.
