Am I the only one who thinks our kit and training range from Umbro this year is the worst of their three years? (Yeah yeah I’ve found something to moan about / comment on blah blah….)
I’m a big fan of the home shirt and the away one might grow on me, but I don’t rate the third kit and the benchwear we’ve seen so far doesn’t seem brilliant at all, especially the lava lamp warm up top today.
Fair assessment or am I being harsh?

It’s all about opinion.
Thankfully for you 75% of our games will be played in the home kit.

I assume you are not the only one. That would be a bit odd.
Harsh? Depends on the reason, I guess. Different people like different things. That's okay. I like the away and 3rd (Will be getting both + 3rd for wife too). I think the home takes a nice easy historical kit and adds ugly trim (shield, umbro badge).
My favourite is the orange one from last year. My least favourite is the white one from last year (lazy and boring). I say that as someone who wants to pick up a white away kit.
So, you do you - dislike it as much as you want. Don't try and take the enjoyment away from those that do like it (not that I think you are) and all is good. |  |

The training gear seems overpriced and not particularly appealing. Adidas was significantly better for design and price and fit. |  |

I like the away shirt and think it’s probably my favourite Umbro one so far. Not sure on the home still, the shield seems random and the red makes it feel a bit Rangers esque and not sure it fits the kit.

Nothing against the pink itself, I think it’s the pattern for me but I can’t put my finger on it exactly.
I like the concept of the castle outline etc. but think it could be more subtle. Find the sound waves look very random and again could be more subtle.
I just don’t think it’s that great and have seen better pink kits recently. | |

I agree, Matt. The home shirt is in my opinion the best of the last three years.
The away shirt doesn’t do it for me. I don’t like the colour and it would have been more sensible to have a light colour based on white, orange or even early 1970s yellow. Personally, a variation on orange would have been my choice. People like it.
The third kit? Plain awful. Training kit? Not the best. But then it’s all opinion isn’t it and since only buy stuff like polo shirts, hats and junk who am I to offer a view? |  | | |

Nope. The pink third kit I think is one of the best kits ever, especially the nod to the suffolk pink colour. Feel a few men don't like it because it's pink and and not manly enough. I also like the home kit. Where as I'm not a fan of the away kit, but I think that's more about the fact I associate the orange kit with the amazing promotion from last season and feel the club should have kept that kit for this season. |  | | |

I just don’t like pink as a colour. I never have. My mother loathed green, Mrs C hated last season’s orange kit. It’s a personal thing. As it goes is that Suffolk pink or bubble gum pink or Yarmouth rock pink? I think it’s more the latter than the former.

That pink kit.... if anything was designed to appeal to Eds female pop following that's the one ! Wouldn't be surprised to see an increasingly huge swath of pink at his future gigs! [Post edited 11 Aug 2024 12:57]

Out of the 3 kits this season, the away 1 is my favourite! To me it's one of the nicest shirts we've had.. the maroon, the pattern, the dark blue trim on the sleeves and the gold.. it looks amazing..
Home shirt for me is taking a bit of getting used to... It's a darker blue than we've had before.. then add to that the same dark blue trim on the sleeves as the away and it makes it darker still...
3rd kit will sell well, but is so bright... I thought it would be more of a baby pink.. | | | |

I like the home and away shirts, and I love the 3rd one. When I heard it was pink, I said "I'm not having one". When I saw it, I was at the shop by 1230pm to buy it. To be fair, it may not be my best look (being xxl, it'll look like a parachute), but it's great!!! | | | |

I really like the training gear designs to be honest. 50 quid for the tops is a bit punchy in my opinion (yes I know other teams charge more but it’s still a rip-off). I’ll probably wait till it’s in the sale like last year. | | | |

I think a little harsh.
I agree training kit doesn't look great in my opinion, but again that doesn't really bother me on bit.
Home kit I think is beautiful, lovely royal blue, has lovely details to it and is a safe bet which I like for our home kit, it should be simple, rarely tweaked and in with tradition.
The away kit vary every year but I think Umbro have got the simple design right, and the colours are a nice combination.
Third kit I think shows how much we have grown as a club/image/brand - to have a custom made 3rd kit in collab with Ed Sheeran, bespoke to fit Framlingham Castle - that's a rarity, and you do have to be a club with a certain statue/brand exposure to do that.
Overall very please again with Umbro, they have dropped very nice kits imo in their time with us. |  | | |

Kits will always be subjective. Umbro have done a great job though, sales have gone through the roof and they've given us some great bespoke designs based around some solid ideas. We'll certainly get a lot more money out of the next deal due to the sales volumes and our PL status.
I can understand why most hate the training range though as who tends to wear those colours?! Mind you the travel jacket is rather exceptional.
I know a lot of people love Adidas however for me they were quite dull - it looked like they put minimal effort into the designs. Adidas Originals would be a different story though. I just hope our next supplier is one who think it's ok to start selling a 'pro' version of the shirt for north of a hundred quid. | | | |
