Correct, on all counts.

Chips that aren't crispy make me sad.

The only exception I'd make on boiled is for new potatoes, which automatically jump up to third on the list.

Chips. Not chunky, not McDonald’s nothingness. Chip shop, freshly cooked, open, salt, vinegar, with a little wooden fork or without - I care not. Slightly crisp on the outside, soft and luscious on the inside and hot. Just the best.

Roast potatoes. Mrs C does them perfectly using a halogen oven.

Crisps. Walkers Sensations salt and vinegar, standard Smokey bacon or plain. Lays do a mean crisp too. Crinkle cut is fine but the standard, normal crisp is a beautiful thing.

What is wrong with all of you?
The correct answer is baked but it has to be in an oven with salt rubbed into the skin and then served with butter. Also the best variety, as for roast and chips too, is agria.

I'm a Maris Piper advocate for chips and roast spuds. Not grown agria - sell them to me!

Also had sort of forgotten baked, though it's still not getting in my top 2. Agree that it has to be properly baked in the oven though, coated in oil, salt and pepper.

Never grown them Dubbers but at £14 for a large sack at the nearby farm shop that supplies heaps of chip shops I promise you they are the way to go. I'll bring you some before a game if you like and we can do a dodgy deal at The Greyhound.

A further spud update regarding chips and roasts. Chip shops also like a variety called Babylon, now that's a cool chip.

Enjoy.....

Three more favourites:

You can do a lot worse than Idaho loaded skins. Idaho potatoes are the best for these bad boys. Had them out in America, but I doubt your local Tescos is going to oblige.

A nicely done Rosti is a good thing too.

I like some crispy chips/fries, or just crisps. I do like a hash brown with a breakfast.

Lately I've seen on social media all these Jacket potato vans doing content and people travel miles/hours to get one. Now i don't mind a jacket potato, but would I travel 3-4 hours for one? I don't think so!

Jacket potatoes are ok with a heck of a lot of strong cheese or butter + chilli, but by and large they’re pretty average, especially if the skins are soft. Now skins cooked to crunchy crispness and alls right with the world as long as you have the above additions to liven the contents

Or maybe a good quality sausage (not a lips and trash one) alongside a crispy JP helped along with plenty of salted butter is ok. Real butter not that axle grease, spreadable, imitation, chemical rubbish either.

I recently visited Prince Edward Island and went to Anne of Green Gables. One of our stops was at a shop. On returning to our coach the guide gave us all a bag of crisps which were from the potatoes grown on P.E.I. they were lovely. If anyone remembers Golden Wonder crisps they were as good as them. As a kid I remember my mum buying Smiths crisps with the little blue bags of salt in the packet. We had a situation where in one particular bag a few of the crisps were black. A family friend sent them to Smiths with a letter. A week or so later we received a tin of crisps back. Can't see that happening today.
