I think more likely that H Clarke is likely moving on.
Axel has done enough to warrant an extension, nothing suggests he wants to leave.
You'd think AT and BG would offer a really good right sided pair/ competition. | |

Potentially, but also we are short in that area now - O'Shea has been an able deputy against teams where we are defending a lot but we need a bit more in that area (if we are working on the assumption that Harry Clarke probably isn't up to it at this point in time and Johnson is seen further forward). | | | |

Imagine it'll be loan with an obligation if we stay up and we see him as a more reliable option than Axel. But saying that, I would be really keen to see Axel get an extension too. [Post edited 3 Jan 14:19]

I know Harry is a hometown boy, but since he's come here we've looked to upgrade that position a couple of times and honestly I don't think he's up to the level. He's too poor positionally too. | |

Sister worriers don't seem to rate him judging by a thread that was doing the rounds earlier (pre Town interest I'd note too so should be somewhat impartial you'd think).
Seems a good talent who lost his way, might be a good signing over time but we need lads who can hit the ground running ideally. As others have said, sounds similar to Cajuste deal but he's only really hit his stride since November.

I hope we don't move Clarke on permanently. I think people forget that he's 23 because of the home town link. There's still a lot of learning to do, but he's just got to piece it together. He's Championship standard, but he needs regular games again to iron out his errors and get better.
He's the long term answer, but short term, he's not good enough for the Prem. |  |
