I agree. Seems to be far more than would be healthy, and it seems they're jumping ship rather than being pushed.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Ha, could be both I suppose.

But ITFC in this instance.

Positive slant could be if you’re part of a successful team people are gonna come knocking on your door

Everything evolves right

I’m not worried and maybe we’ll recruit replacements twice as good

Fairly certain if they were that integral to the way the club is running, they would still be at the club, no room for sentiment in this game.

Clearly whatever tacticians, coaches, and analysts we were using last season were good enough for league one/championship but not up to PL standards so if we want to get back into the PL and stay there, then maybe kM and MA have decided to let them go if they have an offer to go elsewhere and we bring in backroom staff with a different mentality and outlook which mirrors the new type of player MA says we are trying to recruit

Some trimming of the fat, post relegation. Makes sense.

He got a promotion from head of ops to director of ops back in Birmingham where he started his career?!

It's not remotely worrying, it's a decision 9/10 people make. Promotion and get closer to home.

Strength and conditioning wasn't an area of great success last season. We'll be OK.

Nah not really... like all organisations there is attrition. After the season we had in the EPL there was always going to he change and new faces coming in. Aside from Lee Grant, Im not sure you can say any of the news is fundamentally a loss. At least wait and see who comes in.

Majority seem to be leaving for bigger jobs. Shows we had good people - let's hope we replace well.

Yep, that one makes sense when you consider the context. The conditioning role a a jump straight back into the PL. There doesn’t necessarily have to be a wider trigger. Maybe there is, but they can also be explained.

We need a Stewart Houston type to come in and sort out the defence, worked wonders for Burley's team.

Not worried. A few years back none of the roles existed!

I expect there is a balance between us ramping and perhaps employing quickly for the Champ and PL then those people have a PL badge to sell to future employers, versus us being happy there is turnover in these roles as we have a better understanding of what they can bring therefore happy for progress and introducing new ideas. MA did indicate we were looking to take people from big clubs to improve all non playing side of things. I’m not surprised there is turnover here given we’ve been relegated.

It can’t be trimming the fat if they are roles you need to replace. Mukandi is a loss. Lots of experience, ex Arsenal and now going to a very well run club in Bournemouth in the Prem. And would assume for Birmingham (a club on the up) to want Carpenter in a senior role, he’s decent at his job too. Then add on Lee Grant, who we have no announced replacement for yet.

It does worry me a touch to be honest. We’ve lost two very talented members of staff that were cogs in our last promotion push.

It looks like there's been some succession planning in place though with Dan Peacock stepping into the role. He has a good level of experience and knows the club/players so maybe a better option than an external replacement. His role has already been backfilled.

Pretty much since Lee Grant came in we knew he had aspirations to go on to manage. Last summer we brought Sone Aluko into the 1st team coaching set up - that may have been an element of forward planning as well. He's now had a full season as a coach and no reason he couldn't step up.

I still think it would be good to bring in some fresh thinking but to me it looks like we're pretty well covered for most of the departures.
