Now THAT is a good signing for them.

For £2m...boy that's a bargain for a 32 year old with good experience.

Good for Wrexham but a bit of a carthorse by many accounts these days.

I’d say so, he’s a decent player.

RIP Sir Bobby

They’re not going for youth are they? If Broady goes there he’ll probably end up in their academy lol

He was only on £75k a week at Leicester. I doubt he's left for a massive paycut?

We may have binned our best midfielder at age 34, but we've just signed a 40 year old, so I'm not sure we're in much of a position to talk!

FWIW, I'm very much in favour of the Young transfer, and I also think Coady is a cracking signing for Wrexham.

Oh yeah 😬. And a 36 year old.

I’ll shut up!

It’s all relative so I’d say it’s good for them yeah

Think where they were 3 seasons ago.

It’s great for them

Nothing to shout about surely? They'll be mid table, which is probably Coady's level now.

I thought the same when he signed for Leicester, but clearly he’s not the player he once was. Will do a job in the Championship, but not good enough to be competing at the top end of the division in my humble opinion.

Wrexham face the problem we did last season - maintaining momentum whilst making wholesale changes to the squad. Midtable at best I expect.

Coady, Moore, Windass, Hardy, O'Brien. Maybe Broadhead. Danny Ward I think as well.

They've certainly recruited / are recruiting a number of solid and experienced Championship players who have been there and done it. I don't look at that squad and think it screams top 6 necessarily but maybe that isn't what they're going for this season. They're definitely putting together something that should be competitive at this level though, they're solid signings.

He, Broady and Big Keith… some solid signings for a newly promoted club.

Thats my thinking. Coady brings a huge amount of leadership for a couple of years or more, even if his legs arent what they were.

For most clubs I wouldn't like the signing, but for Wrexham it makes sense. He'll be playing in the middle of a back three in a low block so pace won't be an issue. None of their other centre-backs or the keeper have played above League One before, so it's the one part of their squad where they were still lacking experience.

Some good signings in there that should see them stay up and maybe even go top half.

But I wonder if the focus will be more on their manager this year than the players. They have continuously upgraded their players and staff to ones that would cut it in the level above...I wonder if Parkinson has now reached his level.

Wasn’t Mogga in his 30s when we signed him?
