It’s tough to categorise just 3, because people like Luongo and Broadhead contributed so much from January windows, Chaplin and Burns over such long periods.

You say "Expensive", but he was essentially -£10m. Same with Delap.
If value for money is part of the equation,, it's worth baring in mind their overall cost rather than just the initial fee.
Also I'm not sure we can talk about £65k for Burns to be middle tier, when the cheap tier is freebies and the top tier is £20m+ signings. Burns has to be in the cheap tier, Davis and Moray probably should be too. |  | | |
