Your top 5 matches of the season... 21:56 - May 3 with 1351 viewssohamblue74

Bit of fun. You can only choose matches that you attended.
Top 5 matches from your perspective this season.
Could be based on result, atmosphere, wonder goals, something else.

#5
Town 1 Hull 0
Great atmosphere. Fantastic winning goal.
Felt like we turned up for a big and must win game.
Still annoyed that JC missed that chance for 2 0 though!

#4
Watford 0 Town 2
Great away day. Solid performance.
Great bounce back after the nightmare at Wrectum.
Popular goalscorers and an excellent penalty save by Super Christian Walton in goal!

#3
Town 3 Nodge 1
Loads of fun.
Great atmosphere. Good goals.
Annoying that they equalised shortly after Kipre's goal.
Loved how scared their young full back was, coming to take corners at North Stand / Cobbold junction corner.
Opposition were soooooo poor though.

#2
Derby 1 Town 2
Another great away end. We played very well.
Great assist from Kasey, great header from Leif.
Some glorious sh1thousing from Furlong.
Bonus red card for Travis. Should have had one at FPR for his assault on Cajuste.

#1
Town 3 QPR 0
Has to be yesterday. Fantastic build up and pre match atmosphere.
2 0 up in 10 mins but could have been 5 0.
Good noise and banter from QPR fans.
Such a good feeling when we scored the 3rd goal.
Poignant goodbye from Wes.

5- Coventry Home
4-Qpr Away
3- Coventry Away
2- Norwich Home

1- Norwich Away. Beating Norwich always feels good but doing it at Carrow Road and the scenes in that away end can't be topped.

In chronological order

Ipswich 5 Sheffield Utd 0
No sins in 4. People were getting nervous. We really needed a win and Jaden Philogene showed why we signed him the previous January.

Ipswich 2 Norwich 1
Our first derby win in 16 year. Nunez trolling the Norwich fanbase at the end.

Ipswich 3 Coventry 0
A statement win after a poor run. It gave the team and the supporters the boost we needed. A clear indication we could handle the pressure and compete with the best. The 2-0 win at their place reinforced all of the above.

4. Norwich 0 Ipswich 2
You wait 16 years for a derby win then two come along in the same season. Norwich were the form team. But we controlled the game really well, took our chances and never looked in danger.

5. Southampton 2 Ipswich 2
Like two heavyweight boxers slogging it out, neither team deserved to lose. Two very good football teams and a wonderful advertisement for the Championship. The last 15 minutes gave us belief that we would get the job done just a few days later.

WBA 1-0 (H) Terrible game but important win after back to back losses
Cov 2-0 (A) Really dominant performance
Watford 2-0 (A) Great result after the Wrexham defeat and real turning point
Norwich 2-0 (A)
Blackburn 1-1 (A) Priceless point and justification for the match to be replayed

1. Norwich 3-1
2. QPR 3-0
3. Stoke 1-0 (not an outstanding game in itself but after the Coventry win it felt important)
4. Hull 1-0
5. Bristol City 2-0 (see Stoke game - backing up a win)

I didn’t attend any away and resold my ticket a few times for home games, thanks to other commitments so my choices are a bit limited compared to many.

1) Saints away 2-2
Two very good teams going full at each other and Town showing great fight and quality, best away end since Barnsley, and Clarke grabbing the game

2) Norwich home 3-1
Thought outfought and outplayed our rivals, Philogene wunder strike, great atmos

3) Coventry away 0-2
It was men and boys, men and boys, completely bossed the champions

4) Derby away 1-2
Another superb away end, but there was just so much to like from this Town display

5) Sheff U home 5-0
To see Jaden really arrive at Town. We attacked very well at times.

I actually really liked the Millwall home game, Swansea away, Coventry at home, Hill at home, QPR away, and Watford away right up there

Hmmmm… perhaps it wasn’t the season we’re led to believe!!

My lists a shocker too! I still can't believe that I went to five games in a promotion season and didn't see a win.

Boro 2 Town 1
Town 0 Charlton 3
Blackburn 1 Town 1
Sheff Utd 3 Town 1
Stoke 3 Town 3

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

You didn’t have the best of luck, did you. Funny how that happens.

I have seen all but a couple of the Norwich games at PR over several decades. One of the two games I missed? The 5-0 one.

We won half our matches.

So there's a 50:50 chance of a random match being a win.

To have 5 matches chosen at random result in 5 non-wins is therefore a 1 in 2^5 chance, or 1 in 32.

Bad luck. But I guess you'd take it, given automatic promotion!

Sorry. I cant get past winning at Carrot Road. The "Nunez" derby.
He came on and earnt a deserved yellow. Then every Budgie player stopped playing and rolled around in fake agony trying to get him sent off.
15 minutes of pure joy.

Then two out of:
Blades (H) - we’re decided to get moving
Swansea (H) - such a great one sided performance
QPR (H)
