So this was highlighted to me today. A new poster on the Coventry forum, pretending to be me with my username and sign-off. It's not a one-off post, it's a number of interactions in the same style attempting to stir them up and cause trouble.
Think most of us can guess which element of the forum this is from. Extremely weird and rather concerning.

I’ve had it a lot and very recently Ive had a certain poster a member of the LAS use my Avatar.
I’ve had another from the LAS use the name ‘Village Green ‘ and their avatar was a cricket match on Benters Green.
Very recently and thanks to GB for pointing it out when I changed my name to Sampamsdisco many moons ago,someone during the World Cup popped up and started using that name,and was swiftly banned by admin.
It not nice and as much as we dislike each other it’s not good to have someone do that to you.
Whatever “element” of the forum this has come from, it’s totally unacceptable and if Phil can trace their IP it should be a lifetime ban from here.
People have disagreements on here. Sometimes they get very heated. However, stalking is beyond the pale. I had an element on here fo through my social media history and then brag about sharing my “socials with the bumfest for laughs”. They even found an old EADT article featuring my then seven year old son as a ITFC competition winner, which was very upsetting. People still call for the return of this element, despite multiple bans and repeat behaviour, the last being a personal comment on here about my appearance in a photo I had posted of my wife and I after completing a half marathon. Maybe those calling for their return, or showed little sympathy for Benters when somebody highjacked his previous username just last month will reflect on this.
Whoever has gone to the trouble of setting up an account on another forum using your username has serious issues by taking any beef they have with you on here “off board”. I hope Phil can get to the bottom of this.
Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.
Extremely concerning. As I’m a bit new/green about the way forum interactions work it seems all the more sinister. Who does this and why? And is there much we can do to stop it?
I assume none of our personal details are public?

I actually reported an account to admin back in January called EastSuffolkBlueLoser who had setup an account solely to have a pop at Stokie. No idea if it's related, but might be a good starting point.

Mind boggling that somebody has thought, pre-meditated and followed through with doing this. Hopefully, the two admins can work together to find the culprit. Unbelievable. This is the kind of crap that ends up tarring everyone with the same brush.
