If you haven’t watch MOTD yet, don’t bother 10:30 - Nov 1 with 2248 viewsBelsteadCav

Didn’t show Dara getting thrown to the floor

Zero analysis on the match, didn’t even show the goals again after the match

Absolutely shocking

Just about to post the same. Just showed the goals, Enciso disallowed goal andMaeda and Norton Cuffy chances. That was it. Analysis amounted to 'there's lots to like about both sides'. It's .a pathetic show nowadays

Knew beforehand, 8 matches to cover & it was always gonna be the 'Manure bomb again' & 'massive clubs' show (I didn't time it but Manu must have got at least 12' as opposed to our 2) despite our game having twice as many goals.

Danny did say some nice things about us though! ("Try to play the right way, great resilience and fitness" etc).

Zero analysis is kind of a step forward. Normally when we get a result the pundits usually spend a great deal of time examining what our opponents must have done wrong.

Yep. The amount of effort put into it was basically zero.

Probably editted out as it would force a talking point and that subject has been done time and time again and the producer has probably earmarked something else to try and stretch the pundits usually lame opinions for the time allocated.

Reflects where the BBC is now at, sadly. You don’t get any preamble for matches now on their fixtures web pages, just a load of automatically generated stats with no context. I don’t think Sky are much better either.

I did watch it, just to see how Sunderland, Fulham, Coventry, Palace and Forest played. I know it’s difficult to judge from highlights but Sunderland appeared to be all at sea defensively, Coventry took full advantage. Palace were also poor defensively and weren’t going to overcome a man advantage and now miss Mateta for another 3 games, Forest continued their run of abysmal finishing and defensive frailty (plus a little bad luck tbf). Fulham look as if they’ve come through their poor patch, so we have three established(ish) clubs underperforming, any one of which (all three?) might be changing managers soon.

You should send that and your CV to MotD, show them how it can be done succinctly by someone who’d want an awful lot less by way of salary than any of the recent incumbents!

Thanks and yes, I’d only want a few grand per show

It’s the norm…MOTD rarely show more than a few minutes of any Town game.

I thought the MOTD highlights were really poorly assembled.

Just not representative of the game.

Poor selection of game moments.

I’m sure we’ll see plenty about the pull on Isak today, no mention anywhere of our robbery in Hull.

It’s a sad indictment that I much prefer listening to Chris Sutton* on radio 5 live than the feckin squit spouted on MOTD nowadays. On the plus side last night, Alan Shearer wasn’t on talking a lot about absolutely nothing or stating the bleeding obvious.

I noticed this too when watching. I thought that maybe it would be the same for remaining games as well...but no, all the remaining games had analysis done! Why was it just our game (which wasn't last or even a dull game)!?

It has always been the same, back in the 70’s we went to Highbury and stuffed the four nil, absolutely brilliant performance. The programme was all about Arsenal and where they were going wrong, not a word of praise for us. It has rankled ever since!

Its interesting actually. If you watch the "MOTD highlights" from the BBC sport website, then they include the corner and Dara getting his shirt pull. THey also include a mention from the commentator, that if Florentino hadn't scored, then VAR would have recommended at least another look, if not a penalty. I hadn't realised that there wasn't a break between the shirt pull and the goal.

So I guess they edited it out probably for time reasons, and because its hard to make a controversy out of it.

Would be interesting as part of the Isak discussion now though

Same highlights package, usually 8-12 minutes, is on iPlayer as well. Definitely worth watching that rather than MOTD these days.
