Town Topic: Who Should Replace Keane?
Town Topic: Who Should Replace Keane?

With Roy Keane sacked 20 months into his Portman Road tenure, who would you like to replace him?

Paul Jewell is the early front-runner, Chris Hughton, Gary Megson and Alan Curbishley have all been linked, but who do you want?

Lets have some South American flair and passion Poyet & Raricco would be fine by me.

Dreamland: MON (but unlikely)

After that: Curbs, if not Houghton/Wilkins/Burley

Please not Fat Sam. Would be out of the frying pan...

Must the worst manager since John Duncan. As least magic did get us to 9th in one season but RK apart from start of this season has struggled.
We need a proven motivator (Curbs if he is looking for a job) experience not a young pretender who thinks a click of his fingers players will jump & results will be good.
O'Niell if he can be tempted or Steve Baker what a legend he would sweep the team off its feet (lol)

1. o driscoll
2.curbs
3.alladyce-because he is reliable, gets results even if its not pretty
4.lambert- is a good manager even if he is working up the road, so what ? norwich pinched him from col who and look at whats happened
5.MON -unrealistic and Im not sure if he is that good anyway. Not done alot apart from in a 2 horse race and thinks he is better than he is.
6. jewell. two promotions at least but also two flops at derby and wednesday. Derby were bottom under davies but I think did win a game, jewell took over about a 1/3 way through the season and never won a game ! poor !
7.mckay -watford --- ex scum though
8.warnock would be near the top but he looks like he will get to the PL only then to be replaced by lippi ! we need him before then .

Terry Venables, would really motivate players and play attractive attacking football. No chance though.

If the rumours about Jewell are just that (hopefully because while he's done well at smaller clubs like Wigan & Bradford, his record at Derby & Sheff Wed who are larger traditional clubs like us has been disastrous) then Tisdale, Howe or O'Driscoll would be my choices, with Hughton or Curbs my choices if we went for another 'big' name.
