Not really, they'd come down the season before with generous parachute payments and three seasons or Premiership football under their belt?
We haven't been on a level playing field with them for some time.
Even in the Royle days, they had a bit more money than us, which lead to them signing Huckerby, McKenzie and the other striker who I forget. Royle wanted Huckerby but he ended up at Norwich.
They certainly didn't benefit from their first Premiership stay. The freak management under Lambert has set them up for a few years yet. [Post edited 10 Mar 2017 20:18]
