Haven't seen anyone else mention it (Probably, most too young) but seeing us in white socks bought back wonderful memories of the late 70's when we always wore white socks.

If the shirts had been plain and a darker blue it would have been what was my favourite Town strip.

Does anybody know when and why we changed to Blue socks?

I dont recall Town wearing white socks at any point, maybe only when they wore that fade to white kit in the mid nineties. Town have always been blue sirts, white shorts and blue stockings.I thought we looked like an old Leicester team the other night.

It look so cool. Bring it back please.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

In the ground the shirts were a really dark blu, obviously due to being soaked from the first minute but they'd totally discoloured before the game even kicked off.

White socks was too Everton for me - ITFC need to be Blue shirts, White Shorts and Blue Socks

There is proof of global warming right there.

In the seventies we had cold and warm weather kits for the same season, with either long or short sleeves.

Before then kits were entirely of the cold weather variety.

Now they are entirely of the warm weather variety.

It is really happening chaps and in a way that affects us directly.

Just searched for that 3rd shirt, an absolute thing of beauty, especially as it's long sleeved as well.

Don’t know why but I think it’s looks great. I don’t think it would work at home but for an away game where we can still be mainly blue, white socks works.

It reminded me of the early 2000s for some reason (when I started watching), but I’m not even sure if it was that common at the time or not, I’m sure someone else would be able to confirm or deny.
