Your best lockdown achievements so far. 08:30 - May 19 with 3304 views | Dubtractor | I'm going to be setting the bar low here... I've only gained a couple of pounds in weight. I fixed the dishwasher power switch with a small piece of wood. Made a genuinely attractive herb box for the kitchen out of left over ply. Hardly touched the numerous odd DIY jobs around the house that have needed doing for about 3 years. Seemingly it wasnt lack of time stopping me from doing them....

Cleared the shed out so I can actually see the floor of it now. Convinced the missus to start looking for a new house once all this blows over. |
That last one is that you have convinced your misses to move out or move with you?

Ha, yeah, didn't quite make that clear! Move to a new house together is what I meant.

Oh, that's another achievement. I'm currently sat just outside the top 6 in Serie A as Fiorentina on Pro Evo. No mean feat, I tell ya.

Ah, mate! Class! I recently had my first ever invincible season! Taking FC Utrecht to the title. I nearly repeated the feat later in the same save with Chelsea but can you believe those b@stards in yellow and green beat me last day of the season with a dubious penalty to deny me! It's 2038 in the save currently, longest I've ever gone. [Post edited 19 May 2020 11:26]

It's a great game. | |

Taken up cycling, which was even more surprising for me and anyone who know me. Managed to soak up the actions* of a very distressed little laddie, without totally exploding. Failures: Not being able to 'fix' the boy *At worst, prolonged swearing, punching, spitting, kicking

Created beds for potatoes garlic and raspberries- and planted them. Rekindled an interest in Bonsai. Built a genuinely good cigar box guitar Painted some trellis. Eaten and drunk too much. Added sound insulation and black flock material to the back wall int eh basement, and long black curtains- to enhance the home cinema experience. [Post edited 19 May 2020 12:25]

I think you'll switch to the 30 turn game soon, it's better and allows higher scores on crazy level. The best tribe is Baldur or Vengir in my opinion but it totally depends on your starting location and whether you can take over another city on the first turn. Luxidoor are fun as well as are Kickoo. For instance, with Baldur you can hunt and then chop down the trees if you have enough in your city boundaries and be a 4 or even 5 city on the first turn if you're very lucky (you will need some gold from scouting other tribes when you hit size 2 city). Vengir can build 2 swordsman first turn and thus take over any other city in range on the 2nd turn. SB

Your best lockdown achievements so far. on 12:16 - May 19 with 1020 views | dickie | Built a large shed Built a raised rockery bed Dug out jungle of the bottom of our garden and put grass seed down Laid a little round patio Put some decking in Planted out loads of veg Put in a footpath to the bottom of the garden Moved a corner shed about 30ft so that it's actually sat in a corner Currently re-slatting an old iron garden bench Oiled garden furniture Painted chimney breast in lounge Put in reclaimed 20s fireplace surround Glossed built in cupboards and fireplace surround in lounge Sorted out kitchen cupboards Baked lots of bread, brownies and shortbread Most of that would have taken 2 or 3 years at least but it's been quite relaxing doing it all at a chilled out pace. Me and my wife are terrible at sitting still though

Your best lockdown achievements so far. on 08:42 - May 19 by Libero | Yes, also quite glad I haven't put any weight on, especially considering I've not done a bit of exercise over going for the odd walk. I've been drawing in my spare time which is something I really enjoy doing but for some reason don't do often. I hacked back the garden a few weeks ago which was rather satisfying as it had gone without any attention for 6/7 months. I'm keeping in regular contact with friends, it's a trite thing to say but I do believe that I've spoken more with friends and family through this all than I would have done if there were no restrictions. However, without a doubt my greatest achievement is how well the wife and I are getting on. I was expecting regular rows due to having to live in one another's pocket what with her still on maternity and me working from home 3 days a week, I couldn't have been further from the truth, she's a bloody delight to be around. I suspect he real test though will be next week when she goes back to work and we're both juggling working from home with looking after our son... |

The last paragraph specifically. It's not something enough men talk about IMO, especially in a male dominated environment. No doubt your presence is as much of a delight to her. Respect.

Unlikely Chunters, I'm a f*cking nightmare to live with :') Regardless, it's all going very smooth at the moment and we've taken to parenthood with ease, so I'm hoping that the transition from maternity leave to going back to work goes very smooth for her next week.

Home life seems to have got easier during lockdown. Even though me and her are still working full time, we still have more time now than we did before as there's no commute, no running the kids rounds to their activities for hours a week, no occasional socials that take one of us away at the same time as a rare night off, no football dragging me off for a whole day at the wakened... Home life has definitely improved and we’re getting on better than we ever have. Talking more and going out for runs together every other day. And we’re also seeing more of family and friend via Zoom/Skype/WhatsApp than we ever have. There’s a moral in here somewhere. Good luck with the nipper. Great times, even if hard work.
